Justin Turner Foundation announces 3rd annual charity golf tournament

The Justin Turner Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit charity dedicated to providing support to the homeless veterans and their families as well as the families of children affected by life altering illness, announced the details today for its 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament to be held on Monday, January 29th at the Sherwood Country Club in Lake Sherwood, California.
"We have been very fortunate to have had, in our previous events, to have raised substantial amounts of funds for some extremely deserving individuals and families" said Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman, Justin Turner, Co-Founder and President of the foundation. He added, "With this support we have been able to fund services and support for a variety of entities that are meeting the challenge of the homeless veteran population in our community. We have also been able to provide a great deal of support to children and families who have had to deal with some extremely serious medical conditions."
"We are anticipating a full sellout with 144 golfers this year," said Kourtney Turner, Co-Founder and Vice-President of JTF. Kourtney continued with, "It's going to be another great year and we're excited to put on another tournament to help these veterans, these kids and their families who are impacted by their circumstances. Our hope is to continue to partner with businesses and organizations in the local community to make this year another successful event."
The golf tournament has quickly become one of the favorite tournaments of the year for the Sherwood Country Club and is increasing in popularity every year. The tournament has been blessed to have participating in the golfing and non-golfing activities many current and former Dodgers, Dodger broadcast team members, as well as celebrity & sports figures who are supporters of the Justin Turner Foundation. It is currently the foundation's largest fundraiser with all proceeds raised directly benefiting the charity in their efforts.
The format for the tournament is a four-player Scramble with a Shotgun Start at 9:30 a.m. The day will also include a Hole-In-One contest for a new Aston Martin vehicle, AM570 Million Dollar Shoot Out and Closest-To-The Pin contests, in addition to prizes for the winning and losing teams. A Silent Auction will take place throughout the tournament. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided to all golfers.
