Mariners Reinstate RHP Bryce Miller from Injured List

HOUSTON – Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the following roster moves:

Miller, 27, is set to make his season debut and start tonight’s game against Houston. He was placed on the 15-day Injured List on March 25 (retroactive to March 22) with a left oblique strain and made 4 rehab appearances between Triple-A Tacoma and High-A Everett, going 1-0 with a 1.98 ERA (3 ER, 13.2 IP) with 7 walks and 14 strikeouts.

In 2025, the Mount Pleasant, TX native went 4-6 with a 5.68 ERA (57 ER, 90.1 IP) with 34 walks and 74 strikeouts over 18 starts. He made 3 starts during Seattle’s Postseason run, posting a 2.51 ERA (4 ER, 14.1 IP) with 5 walks, 9 strikeouts and a 1.047 WHIP.

Miller was selected by the Mariners in the 4th round of the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Texas A&M University. The right-hander made his MLB debut with Seattle on May 2, 2023 at Oakland, setting the franchise record for most strikeouts (10) in a debut. In 74 career starts with the Mariners (2023-c), the 6-foot-2 right-hander is 24-21 with a 4.01 ERA (179 ER, 402.0 IP) with 105 walks to 364 strikeouts.

Suarez, 28, made 1 appearance with Seattle, allowing 1 run over 2 innings on May 9 at Chicago-AL. He also made 8 MLB appearances with the Braves this season, going 0-1 with a 6.61 ERA (12 ER, 16.1 IP). Suarez was claimed off waivers by Seattle from Atlanta on May 3 and reported to the club on May 4.

The 5-foot-10 lefty has appeared in 8 Major League seasons with the Angels (2019-24), Braves (2025-26) and Mariners (2026), going 22-30 with a 5.34 ERA (246 ER, 414.1 IP), 178 walks, 386 strikeouts and a 1.49 WHIP in 115 games (63 starts). He was originally signed by the Angels as an international free agent on July 3, 2014.
