MLB Network to extensively cover MLB trade deadline with 15 consecutive hours of live programming
Eight different studio shows featuring 21 different personalities blanket coverage this Monday, Aug. 3 beginning at 9 a.m. ET

July 30, 2026 – For the 18th season since the network’s launch, MLB Network will provide comprehensive coverage of the MLB Trade Deadline with 15 consecutive hours of live programming this Monday, Aug. 3, beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Over the past 17 Trade Deadlines, MLB Network has covered every major move, from reigning A.L. Cy Young winner Cliff Lee’s move to the Phillies in 2009 and David Price’s blockbuster trade to the Blue Jays in 2015, to Max Scherzer and Trea Turner joining the Dodgers in 2021, Juan Soto moving to the Padres in 2022, the Padres acquiring All-Star closer Mason Miller from the Athletics and Carlos Correa’s return to the Astros in 2025. This Monday, MLB Network’s analysts, hosts and insiders will once again deliver breaking news, expert evaluation and instant reaction to every trade, while examining the impact each move could have on clubs, Postseason races and the legacies of some of the game’s biggest stars. With the Deadline set for 6 p.m. ET, MLB Network’s 2026 MLB Trade Deadline Day coverage, which will be simulcast on MLB+, MLB.TV and available via the MLB app includes:
- 9 a.m. ET, The Leadoff Spot – Kicking off MLB Network’s trade deadline coverage with the final hour of SiriusXM’s daily show co-hosted by Eduardo Perez and Steve Phillips;
- 10 a.m. ET, MLB Central – Co-hosts Robert Flores and Lauren Shehadi will be joined by former general managers Rick Hahn and Steve Phillips, analyst Al Leiter and insider Jon Morosi to set the stage for this important day ahead;
- 12 p.m. ET, MLB Now – Brian Kenny hosts alongside Rick Hahn and insider Mark Feinsand on “The Show for The Thinking Fan”;
- 1 p.m. ET, Intentional Talk – Ryan Dempster, Kevin Millar and Siera Santos provide analysis in their own unique way on the network’s longest-running talk show;
- 2 p.m. ET, MLB Tonight – Brian Kenny, former general managers Dan O’Dowd and Steve Phillips, analyst Jake Peavy, and insiders Joel Sherman, Jon Heyman, Mark Feinsand and Jon Morosi react to the latest news on the Emmy Award-winning show;
- 5 p.m. ET, MLB Tonight: National Pregame Show – Host Greg Amsinger, analyst Harold Reynolds and insider Tom Verducci will count down to the 6 p.m. ET trade deadline before recapping the biggest moves over the coming hours;
