Nationals to Celebrate Fan Appreciation Weekend During Final Homestand
The Nationals are celebrating the best fans in baseball with Fan Appreciation Weekend during the final homestand of the 2026 season. As a thank you to fans, the Nationals will have a fun-filled weekend of activations and surprises, including Friday Night Fireworks, Pups in the Park presented by PEDIGREE Foundation, the annual Jerseys Off Their Backs fundraiser, special surprises, giveaways and more. Kicking off the three-game homestand against the New York Mets on Friday, Sept. 25, 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a Nationals football jersey. Beginning when gates open at 5:30 p.m., fans can snap a picture with the 2019 World Series Trophy in the Team Store until 6:30 p.m. The party continues after the game with the final Friday Night Fireworks of the season. The fireworks display will begin approximately 10 minutes after the game, and fans are encouraged to move to the third base side of the ballpark for the best viewing experience.
This weekend will also be a great opportunity for fans to snag an autograph from one of their favorite players, coaches or broadcasters, beginning with a special Kids Signature Saturday featuring two Nationals and an expanded Signature Sunday with four members of the squad. Vouchers are distributed on a first come, first served basis at Section 103, beginning when gates open, weather permitting.
Fans and their furry friends are welcome to Nationals Park for the final Pups in the Park presented by PEDIGREE Foundation of the season on Sunday, Sept. 27. With the purchase of a special ticket, fans and their pups will receive a Nationals-themed pups bandana. A pet artist providing dog tag engraving and photo-ops will be available near the Budweiser Terrace escalator. Fans can also bring their Pups in the Park passport presented by PEDIGREE Foundation from previous Pups in the Park to claim prizes based on the number of stamps collected this season. The Nationals will conclude Fan Appreciation Weekend by recognizing the winners of Washington Nationals Philanthropies Jerseys Off Their Backs fundraiser. During an on-field ceremony, the winners of the fundraiser will receive an authentic, autographed jersey off the back of a Nationals player or coach. Fans can purchase a ticket at Nationals Park or online through Saturday, Sept. 26. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the year-round community impact work of the Nationals’ charitable arm and its signature program the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy. All weekend long, fans can taste fan-favorite food specials from this season with “Hall of Fame” concessions. Popular hits such as Hot Dog Day’s hot dog fries, an all-beef hot dog shoestring and crispy fried with chipotle ranch; Foot Long DMV Dog, a footlong all-beef hot dog topped with one-third grilled peppers and onions and mambo sauce (D.C.), one-third fried bologna and old bay pickle chips (Maryland), and one-third mustard, onions and meat sauce (Virginia); Screech Dog, an all-beef hot dog topped with fried spam, char-grilled pineapple, sriracha aioli and salsa verde; and Wagyu Latke Dog, a wagyu dog from Ovoka Farms topped with shredded hash browns, pickled tomatillos, crème fraîche and smoked salmon roe will be available at The Change-Up Food Hall.
