New York Mets on Pace to Eclipse Three Million Fans at Citi Field This Season

Milestone will be reached for the first time since 2009 during the final homestand of the season which opens on Friday, September 12 and concludes with Fan Appreciation Weekend on September 19-21

FLUSHING, N.Y., September 10, 2025 – For the first time since Citi Field’s inaugural season in 2009, the New York Mets are on pace to welcome three million fans to the ballpark this season. The Mets will reach the milestone during their final homestand, ahead of Fan Appreciation Weekend, which will take place from September 19-21. The Mets are encouraging fans to be at Citi Field to celebrate the milestone and Fan Appreciation Weekend together.

Eclipsing the three million fan mark is a testament to the passion of our fans. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the final homestand of the regular season."

The Mets will celebrate their Amazin’ fans on the weekend with a pre-game block party on Saturday, gate giveaways, concession and merchandise discounts, alumni appearances, and other surprise-and-delight experiences. There will also be a special gift when the three-million mark is reached.
