New York Mets on Pace to Eclipse Three Million Fans at Citi Field This Season
Milestone will be reached for the first time since 2009 during the final homestand of the season which opens on Friday, September 12 and concludes with Fan Appreciation Weekend on September 19-21
FLUSHING, N.Y., September 10, 2025 – For the first time since Citi Field’s inaugural season in 2009, the New York Mets are on pace to welcome three million fans to the ballpark this season. The Mets will reach the milestone during their final homestand, ahead of Fan Appreciation Weekend, which will take place from September 19-21. The Mets are encouraging fans to be at Citi Field to celebrate the milestone and Fan Appreciation Weekend together.

Eclipsing the three million fan mark is a testament to the passion of our fans. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the final homestand of the regular season."
The Mets will celebrate their Amazin’ fans on the weekend with a pre-game block party on Saturday, gate giveaways, concession and merchandise discounts, alumni appearances, and other surprise-and-delight experiences. There will also be a special gift when the three-million mark is reached.
The Fan Appreciation Weekend festivities will include:
Saturday Block Party: Starting at 1:10 p.m. outside of Citi Field, from the Jackie Robinson Rotunda to the Left Field Gate, Saturday Block Party will include games, attractions, and entertainment including a DJ, appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Met, and performances by The Queens Crew. In addition to the entertainment, there will be food trucks featuring some ballpark favorites.
Gate Giveaways: Gate giveaways including a Pop-Up Home Run Apple presented by Apple Bank for the first 15,000 fans on Friday, September 19, a Long Sleeve T-Shirt presented by Citi for all fans in attendance on Saturday, September 20, and a Pete Alonso Mets Home Run Topps Card for the first 15,000 fans on Sunday, September 21.
Concession Discounts: Throughout the weekend, fans will receive concession discounts including $5 Nathan’s hot dog (kosher, gluten friendly and veggie options available), $5 regular soft pretzel, $5 popcorn box, $5 22oz. Coca-Cola brand fountain soda, $5 12oz. Coors Light, and $5 Smartwater bottled water.
Merchandise Discounts: All fans will also save 30%, and Season Ticket Members will save 35%, on regularly priced merchandise from the Team Store. Additionally, all fans will save 25% from the Amazin’ Memorabilia Store, excluding Grab Bag purchases, autographed game-used items, and day of game items. Merchandise discounts are only available in stores and cannot be combined with any other offers.
In addition to alumni appearances and other surprise-and-delight experiences, Mets Connect members will receive double points throughout the weekend for redeemable items in the Mets Connect Store in the Ballpark App.
