New York Mets To Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night at Citi Field

FLUSHING, N.Y., September 8, 2025 – In honor of Roberto Clemente Day, the New York Mets will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night presented by Coors Light on Tuesday, September 16 at Citi Field, when they take on the San Diego Padres at 7:10 p.m. As part of the celebration, there will be a special pre-game ceremony honoring Francisco Lindor as the Mets 2025 Roberto Clemente Award nominee.

There will be a variety of programming throughout the evening as part of the celebration. Fans can enjoy a pre-game concert featuring Mariachi Bohemio NYC at 6:30 p.m. playing on the field behind home plate as well as music from DJ Suaso throughout the game. The National Anthem will be performed on violin by Katia Lindor, Francisco Lindor’s wife, who is a classically trained violinist. Additionally, the first pitch will be thrown by Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter and actor, Residente.

Finally, fans can support the Tacombi Foundation by participating in the Amazin’ Mets Foundation 50/50 raffle. Volunteers from the Tacombi Foundation, a non-profit that aims to address food insecurity to individuals in underserved communities by preparing and distributing wholesome Mexican meals, will be selling raffle tickets to help raise money to support for their mission.
