Orioles to host "Bark at Oriole Park" on July 25, Sept. 12
Fans are invited to bring their dogs to games on Wednesday, July 25, and Wednesday, September 12, with the purchase of a special ticket package, as the Orioles celebrate the first "Bark at Oriole Park" events at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The September 12 event had been previously announced, but due to high demand, a second mid-summer date has been added on July 25.
Ticket packages with seating in the Left Field Lower Box are now available exclusively at www.orioles.com/barkatoriolepark. Dog tickets are $10 each and owners/friends tickets are $39 each. Each dog will receive a doggy bow tie upon entry. Five dollars from every ticket sold will benefit the Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter (BARCS) on July 25 and the Baltimore Humane Society on September 12.
WBAL-TV Channel 11 will serve as the media partner for both events. CAMDEN, WBAL's 'Puppy with a Purpose,' will attend both games as special guest. Camden is training to become a service dog for a disabled veteran or a first responder with America's VetDogs. On July 25, when the Orioles host the Boston Red Sox, Camden will be joined by BRADY, the 'Puppy with a Purpose' for NBC10 in Boston.
Tickets are expected to sell out quickly and no walk-up ticket sales will available on the day of the event. Additionally, Bark at Oriole Park tickets cannot be transferred or re-sold in any manner. A release and waiver form will be mailed with the tickets and must be signed and brought to the game for entry with each dog. Each ticket holder also must bring a copy of the dog's vaccination form(s) to the game. All dogs will be required to have current Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations. All dogs must have ID tags, be on a leash at all times, and be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older.
All dogs must remain in the designated Bark at Oriole Park locations throughout the game. A nearby pet relief area will be available, and dog owners must pick up any pet waste. No more than one dog per adult (18 years of age or older) will be permitted. Dogs must be at least six months old.
While there will be water stations and shaded areas available, the seating will be exposed to sun for a portion of the game. Fans are encouraged to bring spray bottles to keep dogs cool in case of heat and are asked to monitor their pets for signs of overheating. A veterinarian will be on hand in case of emergency, injury, or illness. It is the dog owner's sole responsibility to care for and be in control of their pet while visiting Oriole Park.
Bark at Oriole Park is one of many new theme nights scheduled throughout the 2018 season to further engage with Birdland's diverse fan base. Several new events will debut this season including The Sandlot Movie Night, LGBT Pride Night, and Yoga at the Yard. The Orioles will also host popular returning events including Game of Thrones® Night, Father's Day Catch on the Field, two Birdland Socials, and will offer a special Senior Day ticket package.
