San Diego Padres Release 2027 Schedule
SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, announced their schedule for the 2027 regular season today highlighted by five weekend series at Petco Park against American League opponents, including the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers. The schedule also features two unique doubleheaders, including one against the Chicago Cubs on June 22 and one in Colorado against the Rockies on July 10.
The Padres kick off the season at home with a four-game Opening Series presented by Sycuan Casino Resort against the Arizona Diamondbacks beginning on Opening Day, Thursday, March 25 and ending on Sunday, March 28. The opening homestand concludes with a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies from March 29-31.
Home weekends for the Padres in 2027 are highlighted by series against divisional opponents, including the Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies. The Orioles, Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Rays, Mariners, Miami Marlins, Washington Nationals, Rockies and Rangers all pay weekend visits to America’s Finest City. The Padres will host the Diamondbacks on Easter (March 28), Pirates on Father’s Day (June 20), Rays on Independence Day (July 4), and Giants on Labor Day (September 6). Additionally, the club opens the second half of the season at Petco Park with a six-game homestand against the Mariners (July 16-18) and Los Angeles Angels (July 19-21) following the 2027 All-Star Break.
American League teams traveling to the Petco Park in 2027 include the Orioles (April 30-May 2), Kansas City Royals (May 10-12), Red Sox (May 28-30), Rays (July 2-4), Mariners (July 16-18), Angels (July 19-21), Cleveland Guardians (August 23-25) and Rangers (September 17-19). This marks only the fifth regular season appearance in San Diego for the Rays and Guardians, seventh visit for the Red Sox and Royals, and eighth visit for the Orioles. For Interleague road contests, the Padres will visit Minnesota (April 23-25), Detroit (May 7-9), Athletics (May 31-June 2), Toronto (June 25-27), Seattle (July 6-8), Houston (July 30-August 1), New York (August 31-September 2) and Chicago (September 24-26). This will be the club’s fourth visit to Yankee Stadium in New York, fifth visit to Comerica Park in Detroit and Rogers Centre in Toronto, and sixth visit to Target Field in Minnesota and Rate Field in Chicago.
The Padres longest homestand of the season features a 10-day, nine-game slate (May 10-19) that includes the Royals (May 10-12), Cincinnati Reds (May 14-16) and New York Mets (May 17-19) visiting Petco Park. The team travels for one three-city road trip during the season—a 10-day, 10-game stretch—for series in Arizona (April 16-18), Colorado (April 19-22) and Minnesota (April 23-25).
The club concludes their regular season away from home with a seven-day, six-game road trip to Arizona from September 21-23 followed by three games in Chicago (AL) from September 24-26.
First pitch will remain at 6:40 p.m. PT for the majority of weeknight home games. Most Saturday home games will remain at 5:40 p.m. and most Sunday home games at 1:10 p.m. National TV broadcast windows and selections will affect some game times.
