Padres Announce Expanded Summer Family Promotions
SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres announced today the expansion of Friar Family Days presented by Denny's - a family-friendly ticket package - from just Sunday home games to all Sunday through Thursday Padres home games. Families can enjoy discounted ticket prices through the Friar Family Day ticket package, including $15 tickets for kids 14 and under and $20 tickets for adults, as well as a voucher for a free hot dog and soda and access to family-friendly activities.
Through the expanded Friar Family Day promotion, the Padres will offer a kid-friendly activity at each game to enhance the overall family experience at Petco Park. Kids with the dedicated ticket for Monday games will receive a giveaway item, and those that have the Friar Family Day ticket for Tuesday games will have exclusive access to a postgame Kids Run the Bases opportunity. Wednesday games will feature a clinic on the wiffle ball field in Park at the Park, and inflatables will be available in Park at the Park for every Thursday game. KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods and Kids Run the Bases will continue to be available for all Sunday home games. Tickets can be purchased online here.
Friar Family Days are just one of the many family-friendly activities and promotions available at Petco Park. The Padres offer a Compadres Kids loyalty program for kids 14 and under that is free to join and kids can earn exclusive prizes for each game they attend. Compadres Kids can also earn points to redeem for rewards and exclusive experiences such as the Compadres Kids Autograph Zone during batting practice. Also through this program, Compadres Kids get access to events every Sunday, including Compadres Kids Sunday Signings (an autograph session with Padres players), Kids Run the Bases, Catch on the Field and Photo Day. Included in the Padres 2018 promotional schedule is Kids Day presented by Chick-fil-A, where all kids in attendance ages 14 and under on Sunday, July 29, will receive a Padres-themed backpack. In addition, as part of Baseball Night in San Diego on Saturday's at Petco Park, the Padres offer all-fan giveaways with sizes available for the entire family.
Also at Petco Park is the Nursing Lounge presented by Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns, a relaxing and private space for moms located on the Toyota Terrace Level in Suite 32. The wiffle ball field and sandbox located in Park at the Park are free for kids to enjoy before and during Padres games, and the Virtual Reality Experience powered by HP - located in the Padres '47 Brand Team Store and in Section 105 - allows fans to hit as many virtual home runs as they can in 90 seconds while participating in MLB's Home Run Derby at Petco Park. Additionally, Petco Park offers complimentary admission for children under 36 inches in height for all home games.
The Padres offer several family-friendly food and beverage pricing options at Petco Park, including the Lil' Slugger Meal and Lil' Slugger Dog at all Budweiser Ballpark Eats, Pizza Port Family Hour, a Big Kid Meal and a Lil' Kid Meal. Fans can also score a free Mister Softee Birthday Sundae at any Budweiser Ballpark Eats location on their actual birthday.
