Padres to Host Cubs and Rockies for Fifth Homestand of the 2017 Season
San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs - Monday, May 29 @ 1:40 p.m.
The Padres return home from their fifth road trip of the season, a seven-day six-game trip, for their fifth homestand of the 2017 season, featuring games against the Chicago Cubs and the Colorado Rockies. Action begins on Monday (Memorial Day), with a 1:40 p.m. start against the Cubs.
In honor of Memorial Day, the Padres will host Gold Star families who lost a family member during conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Elements include:
Gold Star Families being recognized during a homeplate ceremony.
Gunnery Sergeant Brent Williams, Depot Logistics Chief at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch.
Justin Roberts from No Greater Love and Drew Davis will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch to former Padres catcher Jim Leyritz representing No Greater Love.
Also on Monday, the Padres Foundation will be hosting a "Players' Favorite Things" fundraiser, with 100 percent of proceeds raised benefiting San Diego's Ronald McDonald House. Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to bid on baskets that wives, girlfriends and significant others put together representing the players' favorite things. Baskets are one-of-a-kind, and include autographed memorabilia, bats, jerseys, books, sporting equipment, gift cards, snacks, movies, wine and lots more. The auction, located on the main concourse behind sections begins when gates open and will last through the end of the 6th inning. Taco Tuesday presented by Cholula Hot Sauce is back and improved in 2017. Every Tuesday home game features Petco Park's favorite local tacos at a special price. For only $2.50, fans can choose from a variety of taco options at Carnitas' Snack Shack, Wonderland Ocean Pub, Lucha Libre, Miguel's, Seaside Market, Rimel's and Brigantine.
Going to Bat for San Diego First Responder Salute presented by SDG&E also takes place Tuesday, where representatives from the San Diego County Deputy Sheriff's Association, San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation, San Diego Police Foundation and San Diego Regional Fire Foundation will join representatives from SDG&E on the field.

Wednesday, the Padres wrap up the three-game series against the Cubs with a 12:40 p.m. game.
San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies - Friday, June 2 @ 7:10 p.m.
After an off-day on Thursday, the Padres return to action on Friday as they open up a three-game series with the Colorado Rockies.
As part of Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball's PLAY BALL WEEKEND, aimed at engaging young fans and celebrating the continued support of youth participation in baseball and softball, the Padres will begin the weekend-long celebration with a Youth Game Takeover, a seven-inning wiffle ball game with big league excitement. The game will take place on the Padres Wiffle Ball Field at approximately 3:00 p.m., featuring the Imperial Valley Girls Softball League and Emerald Pony Softball.
Friday night will feature Party in the Park presented by Southwest Airlines. The party begins at 4:30 p.m. with live music and $5 drink specials. Entry is included with a paid ticket to Friday's game.
Friday will also serve as a San Diego County Sheriff's Department Salute presented by COX Communications. Elements include:
Padres players and coaches will wear San Diego County Sheriff's Department caps during batting practice.
The Padres will be present a check to the Honorary Deputy Sheriff's Association.
San Diego County Sheriff's deputies and a rescue beagle will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
Nine members of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department will take the field to greet Padres starters at each position.
A representative from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department will throw the night's Ceremonial First Pitch.
There will also be a fly over by a San Diego County Sheriff's Department helicopter prior to Friday's game.
San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies - Saturday, June 3 @ 1:10 p.m.
As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance on Saturday will receive Sunglasses presented by Knockaround.
In continuation of PLAY BALL WEEKEND, kids in attendance for Saturday's game may visit the Padres Baseball Camp activation at the Park at the Park to receive a Play Ball Bat and Ball set while supplies last. The Padres will host a special pregame ceremony, with elements including:
25 kids representing STAR/PAL will join the Padres on the baseline during the National Anthem.
18 children taking the field with the Padres starting line-up.
All other elements of the pregame ceremony will include local youth baseball and softball players.
San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies - Sunday, June 4 @ 1:40 p.m.
Sunday will serve as a Military Salute: U.S. Army & California Army National Guard Appreciation Day presented by USAA. Elements of the day include:
Over 60 future soldiers of the United States Army will take the Oath of Enlistment administered by Battalion Commander of the Southern California Recruiting Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Troy Alexander.
Sergeant First Class Ryan Dean will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
Brigadier General Jeff Broadwater, Commanding General of the United States Army National Training Center in Fort Irwin, CA, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
Over 75 representatives from the United States Army and Army National Guard will line the bases during the pregame ceremony.
Captain Thomas Touw of the United States Army National Guard will perform Sunday's National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th inning break.
Nine members of the United States Army and Army National Guard will take the field to greet Padres starters at each position as part of "Military Take the Field."
Major League Eating, the world body that oversees all professional eating contests, will host The Baked Bear World Ice-Cream Sandwich Eating Championship on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the Park at the Park. The number one ranked eater in the world, Joey Chestnut, will be on-hand to participate in an attempt to set the world record for most ice-cream sandwiches eaten.
PLAY BALL WEEKEND wraps up on Sunday with additional Play Ball Bat and Ball sets available for kids at the Padres Baseball Camp activation at the Park at the Park.
KidsFest, Compadres Kids Sunday Signings and Kids Run the Bases are back this season and include:
KidsFest features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities at Park at the Park beginning at 11:00 a.m.
From 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online or in-person on the day of the event.
Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under are invited to run the bases on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Sun Diego Beach on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd gate.
Please note: The Synchrony Financial Rock 'N' Roll San Diego Marathon and Half-Marathon will be held Sunday, with the race finishing in Downtown. Due to road closures, fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early or utilize Uber or public transportation. As the preferred ride share partner of the Padres, Uber is providing fans a free first ride (up to $15) by using code: PETCOPARK. MTS Trolley routes will be unaffected, and 5,000 free parking spaces are available at the Qualcomm Stadium trolley station.
