Pirates Acquire Right-Handed Pitcher Kyle Robinson From The Athletics For Infielder Alika Williams

The Pittsburgh Pirates today acquired right-handed pitcher Kyle Robinson from the Athletics, in exchange for infielder Alika Williams.

The 22-year-old Robinson, who was selected by the A’s out of Texas Tech University in the 11th round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, went 1-1 with one save, a 3.62 ERA (27.1ip/11er) and 19 strikeouts in six appearances (five starts) with Lansing (Athletics’ High-A) this season prior to the trade.

Robinson, who was born in Amory, MS, and attended George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, VA, went 6-12 with a 4.54 ERA (121.0ip/61er) and 87 strikeouts in 25 appearances (20 starts) split between Lansing and Midland (Athletics’ Double-A) during the 2025 season, his first full professional season. His 121.0 innings pitched last season were the fifth-most among all Athletics minor league pitchers.

He made three appearances (two starts) for Stockton (Athletics’ Low-A) during the 2024 season (7.0ip).

Robinson has gone 7-13 with one save, a 4.52 ERA (155.1ip/78er) and 115 strikeouts in 34 appearances (27 starts) during his professional career.
