Pitch, Hit & Run returns to the Texas Rangers Youth Academy in May

The Texas Rangers Youth Academy will host Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit & Run program from May 4, 2026, to May 11, 2026. Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is a free program for boys and girls designed to test and measure skills essential to baseball and softball.

Participants compete by age category for the opportunity to advance from skills testing to a Team Championship, and ultimately to the National Finals, held at the MLB World Series. Finalists will travel to and have the chance to compete during the 2026 World Series.

Pitch, Hit & Run is open to athletes ages 7-14. Participants will compete in one of four age divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, or 13-14, with the age cut-off set on Nov. 15, 2026.

The program kickoff dates vary by division:

Rangers Youth Academy athlete Aaliyah Marquez advanced to the 14U Pitch, Hit & Run Finals in 2025, earning a trip to the World Series in Toronto. She posted a third-place finish among the five finalists from the 14U Softball division after advancing out of the Team Championship round, which featured hundreds of competitors from across the country.
