A’s agree to terms with RHP Osvaldo Bido on one-year contract

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Osvaldo Bido on a one-year contract for the 2024 season, the club announced today.

Bido went 2-5 with a 5.86 ERA with 21 walks and 48 strikeouts across 16 appearances (nine starts) for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2023. The 28 year-old spent the remainder of last season with Triple-A Indianapolis, posting a 3-4 record with a 4.16 ERA. The Los Hidalgos, Dominican Republic, native was non-tendered by Pittsburgh on Nov. 17.
