AL WEST CHAMPION HOUSTON ASTROS TO HOST MINNESOTA TWINS IN GAMES 1 AND 2 OF ALDS

Houston, Texas – The AL West Champion Astros will open postseason play and their seventh-consecutive American League Division Series as they host the Minnesota Twins at Minute Maid Park for game one, Saturday, Oct. 7 at 3:45 p.m. CT and game two on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. CT.

All games in the ALDS will be televised nationally on FS1, with Adam Amin, A.J. Pierzynski, Adam Wainwright and Tom Verducci calling the action. On local radio, the games will be aired on SportsTalk 790 with Robert Ford and Steve Sparks calling the action, with Matt Boltz as the engineer. Francisco Romero and Alex Treviño will be on the call for Astros Spanish radio on TUDN 93.3. The games will also be aired nationally on ESPN Radio, with Dave O’Brien and Eduardo Perez on the call.

A special postseason Street Fest will begin starting three hours before games one and two. Fans must have a game ticket to attend Street Fest, which includes live music, food trucks, inflatables, games and more. For more information on Street Fest, visit Astros.com/streetfest.

Fans are also encouraged to wear orange to both game one and game two of the ALDS.

A very limited number of tickets are still available for games one and two of the ALDS against the Twins. Due to an extremely limited number of individual game tickets that will be available for postseason games, fans are encouraged to guarantee their access to 2023 postseason tickets by purchasing 2024 Season Tickets. Friday, Oct. 6 – Lunch Rally – 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
The Astros will host a Lunch Rally at The Post on Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Orbit and the Coca-Cola Shooting Stars will be there, along with a D.J., photo opportunities, giveaways and more.

Saturday, Oct. 7 vs. Minnesota Twins – 3:45 p.m. CT
Game one of the ALDS between the Astros and Twins is set for 3:45 p.m. CT at Minute Maid Park. Gates and Street Fest will open at 1 p.m. CT. The roof will be closed for game one of the ALDS.

All fans in attendance will receive a Rally Towel, provided by Houston Methodist.

The Apollo Chamber Players will perform the National Anthem for game one, with the colors being presented by the Joint Forces Color Guard.

Houston legend, Gallery Furniture’s Jim McIngvale, “Mattress Mack” will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Astros TV broadcast team of Space City Home Network’s Todd Kalas, Geoff Blum and Julia Morales will have the “Play Ball” call.

Sunday, Oct. 8 vs. Minnesota Twins – 7:03 p.m. CT**
Game two of the ALDS between the Astros and Twins is set for 7:03 p.m. CT at Minute Maid Park. Gates and Street Fest will open at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday. The roof will be closed for game two of the ALDS.

All fans in attendance will receive a Rally Towel, provided by Chevron.

Kendale Walker will perform the National Anthem, while the Harris County Sheriff’s Office will present our nation’s colors.

International soccer star and current Houston Dynamo midfielder Héctor Herrera will throw out a ceremonial first pitch to Brian Ching, a former Dynamo player who was part of their back-to-back MLS championships in 2006 and 2007.

2017 World Series champion and Astros legend Josh Reddick will have the “Play Ball” call.

Monday, Oct. 9 - Stro-Nut Giveaway- 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Stop by Shipley Do-Nuts to celebrate the postseason with Orbit, the Shooting Stars, and Astros prizes. All fans in at­tendance will receive one free Astros themed “Stro-Nut.”

AL West Division Champion and Postseason gear is available now to the general public in the Astros Center Field Team Store, located on the corner of Crawford St. and Congress St. The Center Field Team Store will have expanded Postseason hours beginning this week and running until the conclusion of the Postseason from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturdays on non-gamedays.

POSTSEASON POSTGAME SHOWS

Astros postseason postgame shows will air on Space City Home Network (SCHN) on the same channels and with the same talent that fans are accustomed to, including play-by-play announcer Todd Kalas, color commentator Geoff Blum and sideline reporter Julia Morales.
