Astros have MLB-best seven All-Star finalists

The Houston Astros have seven finalists from the Phase 1 results of the 2021 Google MLB All-Star Ballot, which is more than any other team. Finalists are the top three vote-getters from each position (and the top nine outfielders) in each league based on vote totals from Phase 1 of All-Star voting, which ran from June 3-24.

The Astros finalists are: Jose Altuve (2**nd** base), Yuli Gurriel (1**st** base), Yordan Alvarez (DH), Carlos Correa (shortstop), Alex Bregman (3**rd** base), Martin Maldonado (catcher), Michael Brantley (outfield). Kyle Tucker was one spot shy of being a finalist among AL outfielders.

Phase 2 voting begins on Monday at Noon ET and concludes on Thursday, July 1 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Voting is available exclusively online and via mobile devices at MLB.com, all 30 Club sites, the MLB App and on Google Search (U.S. and Canada only). Fans will have the opportunity to vote among the finalists at each position during this four-day window. The winners will be announced July 1 on ESPN at 9:00 p.m. ET on the 2021 Google MLB All-Star Starters Reveal show. Please note that vote totals from Phase 1 do not carry over to Phase 2).
