Astros information on Spring Training, game schedules

HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Astros have released the following information following the agreement on a new CBA between Major League Baseball and the MLB Player’s Association yesterday.

Major League Spring Training Camp

The mandatory report date for all players is March 13. Media access to the Astros facility in West Palm Beach will begin on March 13 (time TBA). Additional details regarding media access guidelines will be released by MLB in the upcoming days. To apply for credentials for Spring Training workouts and games, media must use the MLB online credentialing system (credentials.mlb.com). The first day for credential pickup will be March 13 at the West Palm Beach complex (time TBA).

Health & Safety Protocols: MLB will provide further updates in the upcoming days regarding policies on media access to the clubhouse, playing field and press box.

Fan Access: Fans are welcome to attend Astros Spring Training workouts beginning March 13. For fans, the gates to the Astros facility will open at 10 a.m. ET for workouts.

Spring Training Schedule - Revised

The Astros first Spring Training game will be on Friday, March 18 vs. the Cardinals in Jupiter, FL. The Astros are scheduled to play 15 Spring Training games overall vs. the Cardinals, Marlins, Mets and Nationals. The updated 2022 Spring Training schedule is attached to this email. Regular Season Schedule

All clubs will play a 162-game schedule. The defending AL Champion Astros will open the 2022 regular season on Thursday, April 7 on the road vs. the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Astros 2022 Home Opener will be on Monday, April 18 vs. the Angels (7:10 p.m. first pitch). Updates on a revised 2022 master regular season schedule for all clubs will be announced by MLB early next week. More details on Astros individual game tickets, promotions and giveaway items will be released early next week.
