Astros return for six-game homestand, welcome Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles to Minute Maid Park

HOUSTON, Texas – The Astros return for a six-game homestand welcoming the return of Carlos Correa and the Minnesota Twins for three, Aug. 23-25, and the Baltimore Orioles for a three-game series, Aug. 26-28.

Highlights of the homestand include Peanuts Night, Jose Altuve AL Champion Replica Ring, Lance McCullers Jr. Sunday Replica Jersey and Dog Day.

Tuesday, Aug. 23 – Astros vs. Minnesota Twins: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros open up the three-game series with the Twins on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

It is Dollar Dog Night presented by Texas Chili Company. Fans are treated to unlimited hot dogs that are one dollar apiece all game long.

Pregame the Astros will recognize the return of long-time shortstop, World Champion and two-time All-Star, Carlos Correa, who spent the first seven seasons of his career in Houston before leaving in free agency this past offseason.

The Astros and the Correa Family Foundation will host Mayah Nicole Zamora, a survivor of the school shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, for Tuesday’s game. Mayah, who will be joined by her family, will be at batting practice, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and will stay for the game.

Wednesday, Aug. 24 – Astros vs. Minnesota Twins: 7:10 p.m. CT
Game two of the series with the Twins is set for 7:10 p.m. CT.

Thursday, Aug. 25 – Astros vs. Minnesota Twins: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros close out the series with the Twins at 7:10 p.m. CT on Thursday.

Friday, Aug. 26 – Astros vs. Baltimore Orioles: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros open a three-game series with the Baltimore Orioles on Friday, Aug. 26. It is the first meeting of the two ball clubs in 2022.

The Astros Foundation will celebrate the Reliant Readers Slide into Summer Reading program on Friday, hosting over 1,000 kids that read over 140,000 minutes over the summer as a part of the program.

Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Michelob Ultra Bar. Fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Drafts, a live D.J. and amazing views.

Sunday, Aug. 28 – Astros vs. Baltimore Orioles: 1:10 p.m. CT
The Astros close out the homestand and the series with the Orioles on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 1:10 p.m. CT.

It is the ever-popular Dog Day, presented by Titos Handmade Vodka. The first 500 dogs to enter the ballpark will receive a special Orbit Dog Toy. Furry friends in attendance can stop by these vendor booths with the owners while at the game – Houston PetTalk, Houston PetSet, West Alabama Animal Clinic, Houston BARC Foundation, Fort Bend Pets, Three Dog Bakery, Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation, Raisin’ Canes PetSuites and more. In honor of Dog Day, there will be a very special honorary first pitch from Army veteran Jodie and his service dog, Donna, as they represent K9 for Warriors, a non-profit organization that rescues dogs and trains them to be Service Dogs for veterans suffering from PTSD.

Kid’s Run the Bases, presented by Olshan Foundation Solutions, will occur for all kids in attendance ages 5-12 after the game.
