Astros return home to host Mariners and Red Sox in seven-game homestand

HOUSTON, Texas – The Astros return for a seven-game homestand beginning Friday, Aug. 18, hosting the AL West rival Seattle Mariners for three games, Aug. 18-20, and the Boston Red Sox for a four-game set, Aug. 21-24.

Friday, Aug. 18 – Giant Replica Ring Debut
To kick off the homestand, an Astros 2022 Giant World Series Replica Ring will be available for the first time for fans to see and take photos with beginning Friday. The ring is located on Texas Ave. next to the 2017 ring. From 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday there will be a DJ, the Coca-Cola Shooting Stars, photos with the 2022 World Series trophy, Shuttle Crew with a prize wheel and more to celebrate its debut.

Friday, Aug. 18 – Astros vs. Seattle Mariners: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros open up a seven-game homestand on Friday against the Mariners at 7:10 p.m. CT. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet and available on radio, KBME 790 AM/94.5 FM, TUDN 93.3/KLAT 1010.

10,000 fans will receive a Jose Altuve ‘90s Throwback Replica Jersey, presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors.

Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Michelob Ultra Bar. Fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Drafts, a live D.J. and amazing views.

Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña will host the 10th Peña’s Pals of the 2023 season with kids from Conroe ISD. Pena’s Pals is a new program developed by Jeremy in partnership with the Astros Foundation. He wants to celebrate kids and their development in academics, character building and making healthy choices. During the 2023 season, Jeremy will choose a school/organization and pick five Peña Pals students based on character, grades and growth. Those five students will be treated to an Astros game courtesy of Peña, and will attend batting practice, receive special Peña’s Pals shirts and more.

Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips are set for postgame, with Hits from the ‘90s as the musical theme. Friday Night Fireworks are subject to weather. In the event a show must be cancelled due to weather, refunds will not be granted.

A portion of the proceeds from Friday’s LGI Homes 50/50 Share2Care Raffle will go to Habitat for Humanity.

Saturday, Aug. 19 – Astros vs. Seattle Mariners: 6:10 p.m. CT
Game two of the series against the Mariners is set for 6:10 p.m. CT on Saturday. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet. Saturday’s game will also be a Los Astros Spanish Broadcast on AT&T SportsNet presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors. The Los Astros broadcast will be available on the AT&T SportsNet alternate channel. The game will also be available on radio, KBME 790 AM/94.5 FM, TUDN 93.3/KLAT 1010.

10,000 fans will receive a Jose Altuve Silver Slugger Bobblehead, presented by Woodforest National Bank.

The Astros will celebrate the recent NIKE RBI World Series titles won by the Astros Youth Academy in both senior baseball and softball on Saturday. At 4 p.m. in the press conference room, the teams will be celebrated and will interact with select Astros players and coaches. Prior to the game, both teams will be recognized in an on-field ceremony.

In support of relief efforts after the devastating fire in Maui, a portion of the proceeds from Saturday’s LGI Homes 50/50 Share2Care Raffle will go to the Maui Boys and Girls Club and the Maui Food Bank.

Sunday, Aug. 20 – Astros vs. Seattle Mariners: 12:05 p.m. CT
Game three of the series against the Mariners is set for 12:05 p.m. CT on Sunday. The game will be televised live on Peacock and on radio, KBME 790 AM/94.5 FM, TUDN 93.3/KLAT 1010.

Sunday is also Dog Day, presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka. A special ticket is required for Dog Day and all tickets are sold out for this event.

In a pregame ceremony, Tito’s Handmade Vodka will present the Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation with a check for their work in relation to bringing awareness and creating programs to advocate for stray and homeless animals across the country.

In honor of Dog Day, a veteran and his service dog from K9sforWarriors will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Eric, a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran that served during the first Gulf War in the ‘90s and his dog Rocket, a rescue dog from the Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation turned service dog to help Eric combat PTSD will throw out the first pitch.

Kid’s Run the Bases, presented by Olshan Foundation Solutions, will occur for all kids in attendance ages 5-12 after the game.

Monday, Aug. 21 – Astros vs. Boston Red Sox: 7:10 p.m. CT
The Astros face the Red Sox for the first time in 2023 on Monday as they open up a four-game set at 7:10 p.m. CT. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet and available on radio, KBME 790 AM/94.5 FM, TUDN 93.3/KLAT 1010.

It is a Space City Monday at Minute Maid Park and the Astros will don their Nike City Connect Space City uniforms.

In celebration of Space City Monday, 10,000 fans will receive Space City Socks, presented by Houston Methodist.

In celebration of the 30th season for Astros public address announcer Bob Ford, he will throw out a ceremonial first pitch on Monday.

Maton Mondays is a new community initiative in 2023 where Phil Maton and his wife Katelynn host a few deserving children battling illness and treat them to a shopping spree at the Astros Team Store and more, during Monday home games in 2023. Prior to Monday’s game, the Phil and Katelynn Maton will host two children from Big Love Cancer Care.

Tuesday, Aug. 22 – Astros vs. Boston Red Sox: 7:10 p.m. CT
Game two of the series against the Red Sox is set for 7:10 p.m. CT on Tuesday. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet and available on radio, KBME 790 AM/94.5 FM, TUDN 93.3/KLAT 1010.

Every Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park is Dollar Dog Night, presented by Texas Chili Company. Fans are treated to all-you-can-eat hot dogs that are just $1 each Tuesday home game during the season.

Wednesday, Aug. 23 – Astros vs. Boston Red Sox: 7:10 p.m. CT
Game three of the series with the Red Sox is set for 7:10 p.m. CT on Wednesday. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet and available on radio, KBME 790 AM/94.5 FM, TUDN 93.3/KLAT 1010.

Thursday, Aug. 24 – Astros vs. Boston Red Sox: 1:10 p.m. CT
The Astros close out the four-game series with the Red Sox and the homestand at 1:10 p.m. CT on Thursday.

Prior to the game, the Astros will recognize in a pregame ceremony outfielder Kyle Tucker winning the MLB Players Alumni Association Heart and Hustle Award for the Astros.
