ASTROS RETURN HOME TO HOST THE ANGELS FOR HALL OF FAME WEEKEND PRESENTED BY HOUSTON METHODIST
HOUSTON, Texas – The Astros return home to host the Los Angeles Angels for three games starting on Friday, Aug. 11 through Sunday, Aug. 13.
It’s Hall of Fame Weekend, presented by Houston Methodist, and the Astros will induct former second baseman Bill Doran and former, longtime play-by-play broadcaster Bill Brown as members of the Astros Hall of Fame Class of 2023 in a pregame ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 12.
*Friday, Aug. 11 - Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels – 7:10 p.m. CT
*The Astros open up a three-game homestand with a series against the Angels on Friday at 7:10 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on AT&T SportsNet.
10,000 fans will receive a Minute Maid Park Replica, presented by Houston Methodist.
Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Michelob Ultra Bar. Fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Drafts, a live D.J. and amazing views.
Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña will host the ninth Peña’s Pals of the 2023 season with kids from Tomball ISD. Pena’s Pals is a new program developed by Jeremy in partnership with the Astros Foundation. He wants to celebrate kids and their development in academics, character building and making healthy choices. During the 2023 season, Jeremy will choose a school/organization and pick five Peña Pals students based on character, grades and growth. Those five students will be treated to an Astros game courtesy of Peña, and will attend batting practice, receive special Peña’s Pals shirts and more.
Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhillips are set for postgame, with player walkup songs as the musical theme. Friday Night Fireworks are subject to weather. In the event a show must be cancelled due to weather, refunds will not be granted.
Saturday, Aug. 12 – Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels – 6:15 p.m. CT
Game two of the series against the Angels is set for 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12. The game will be televised live nationally on FOX.

In a pregame ceremony, Bill Doran and Bill Brown will be inducted into the Astros Hall of Fame, presented by Houston Methodist as the Class of 2023. Doran and Brown were selected by the Astros Hall of Fame committee, which consists of former Astros players, current front office staff, current media members and baseball historians.
Prior to the pregame ceremony, a press conference with the Class of 2023 inductees Bill Doran and Bill Brown will take place in the press conference room at Minute Maid Park at 4:30 p.m.
The Astros Hall of Fame presented by Houston Methodist was created in 2019, and resides in Hall of Fame Alley on the main concourse of Minute Maid Park in left-center field. The Class of 2023 will join the 24 members previously inducted. Doran will become the 21st player inducted while Brown will be the fifth non-player and third broadcaster inducted.
Prior to the game, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Astros Foundation and Bank of America will hold a baseball and softball equipment drive. Fans are encouraged to bring equipment and drop them in the bins at any stadium entrance. The equipment drive will benefit the Smokey Jasper Little League from North Houston.
Sunday, Aug. 13 - Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels – 1:10 p.m. CT
Game three of the series and the final day of Astros Hall of Fame Weekend, presented by Houston Methodist is set for 1:10 p.m. CT on Sunday. The game will be televised live on AT&T SportsNet.
Sunday’s game will also be a Los Astros Spanish Broadcast on AT&T SportsNet presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors. The Los Astros broadcast will be available on the AT&T SportsNet alternate channel.

Kid’s Run the Bases, presented by Olshan Foundation Solutions, will occur for all kids in attendance ages 5-12 after the game.

Returning to the broadcast booth this year will be Todd Kalas and Geoff Blum along with reporter Julia Morales. Astros regular season coverage on AT&T SportsNet begins on Friday, March 31st when the defending World Series Champion Astros take on the Chicago White Sox at Minute Maid Park for Championship ring day. Coverage begins off with a special hour- long pregame show starting at 6pm. All season long Astros coverage will include Astros Pregame Show and Postgame Shows with Kevin Eschenfelder returning as host. Joining Eschenfelder on a rotating basis for another season will be former major leaguers Mike Stanton, Brian Bogusevic, Clay Hensley and Michael Bourn.
