Astros sign additional eight selections from 2022 MLB Draft class
HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Astros have officially signed seven members of their 2022 MLB Draft class today, including their second round comp pick RHP Andrew Taylor and their 11th round selection OF Ryan Clifford, a high school outfielder from North Carolina. Additionally, the Astros signed today OF Zach Deznzo (12th round), SS Tommy Sacco Jr. (14th), RHP Joey Mancini (15th), SS Tim Borden II (16th), 1B Garrett McGowan (17th) and C Ryan Wrobleski (20th). Houston also signed a pair of non-drafted free agents: RHP Austin Temple and RHP Logan VanWey. The announcement was made by Astros Director of Scouting Kris Gross.
The Astros have signed 19 of their 21 selections from the 2022 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.The deadline for teams to sign their draft picks is Aug. 1.
