Blue Jays announce 2022 promotions & events schedule

After two seasons without the traditional giveaways and special events fans know and love, the Toronto Blue Jays today announce the return of its Promotions & Events Schedule, featuring a record 54 out of 81 home games. Between player collectible items and bobbleheads; historic celebrations; fan-favourite and brand-new theme days; and specialty tickets that include a guaranteed item, there is something for every Blue Jays fan this season!

Opening Weekend presented by TD

The Blue Jays throw the first pitch of the season in a special Opening Night presented by TD (April 8) with a Blue Jays Panel Hat giveaway for the first 45,000 fans! The festivities continue for the entire Opening Weekend (April 8 to 10), with a George Springer Bobblehead giveaway on the Saturday, presented by TD.

Player Collectibles

Fans can celebrate their favourite Blue Jays with three replica jersey nights, six player bobbleheads, and a player designed t-shirt!

Be Part of Blue Jays History

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the World Series Championship being brought to Canada for the first time! Celebrate the club’s historic 1992 win on August 27 with a replica giveaway of the infamous Blue Jays bomber jacket.

Ballpark Theme Days

April marks the historic 75th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s MLB debut, which broke the league’s modern era colour barrier. The Blue Jays invite baseball fans to honour his legacy with Jackie Robinson Night (April 15), featuring a Jackie Robinson t-shirt giveaway.

For the youngest Blue Jays fans, Jr. Jays Sundays begin on April 17 with a special Jr. Jays Opening Day, featuring activities around the ballpark and run the bases postgame for kids aged 14 and younger; outdoor programming runs from June 5 to August 28. Also, back by popular demand, the first of 12 Loonie Dogs Nights presented by Schneiders is on April 26, which feature $1 hot dogs on every Tuesday home game!

May the Fourth be with you at Rogers Centre this year for Star Wars Night (May 4) featuring a Blue Jays Chewbacca Messenger Bag giveaway, presented by Toys “R” Us.

The end of May marks the unofficial start of summer, and the Blue Jays are kicking up dust with fan-favourite Country Weekend (May 20 & 21), featuring a Blue Jays Army Green Hat giveaway on the Friday night. Fans will be treated to performances by Canadian country artists Don Amero and Tyler Joe Miller on the Friday, and JoJo Mason on the Saturday.

June begins with a special extended Pride Weekend (June 3 & 4) presented by TD, featuring a Blue Jays Rainbow Towel giveaway on the Friday, community givebacks, and special events in celebration of our LGBTQ2S+ fans and community.

Toronto is home to North America’s largest Caribbean Carnival and now fans can kick off the festival weekend with Blue Jays Caribbean Carnival at the ballpark (July 27), featuring a Blue Jays Crossbody Bag giveaway!

Two brand new events round out the season. Bring your FRIENDS out on August 12 for Sitcom Night, with a Blue Jays F∙R∙I∙E∙N∙D∙S T-Shirt giveaway. Dress as your favourite character at Marvel Super Hero Day on September 17, with a Blue Jays Spider-Man Figurine giveaway, presented by Toys “R” Us.

The 2022 Blue Jays season closes out with Fan Appreciation Weekend (October 1 & 2), with a Blue Jays Vest giveaway on the Saturday, presented by TD.

Specialty Tickets

Above and beyond regular game tickets and traditional giveaways, the Blue Jays have launched Specialty Tickets, which offer special giveaways and experiences only available with the purchase of a Specialty Ticket add-on. Fans simply buy their game ticket and select the Specialty Ticket option to guarantee that game’s event or giveaway. Limited Specialty Tickets are available while supplies last!

Starting with Hello Kitty Day on April 16, Specialty Ticket purchasers receive a ticket to the game and a Hello Kitty Bobblehead. Peanuts Day follows on April 30 and includes a Blue Jays Snoopy and Woodstock Doghouse. Yoga at the Ballpark takes place on June 18 where Specialty Ticket purchasers receive access to a yoga session on Rogers Centre field and a Blue Jays Yoga Mat. Finally, College & University Night celebrates the return to school on September 16, including a Blue Jays co-branded hat with school logos.
