BLUE JAYS ASSIGN PLAYERS TO MINOR LEAGUE SPRING TRAINING 

The Toronto Blue Jays have assigned the following 10 players to Minor League Spring Training. All players remain eligible to play in Grapefruit League games, as needed.

• RHP Junior Fernández

• RHP Bowden Francis

• RHP Matt Peacock

Optioned:

• RHP Thomas Hatch

• RHP Nate Pearson

• RHP Zach Thompson

• RHP Trent Thornton

Additionally, RHP Jay Jackson has been granted his release and is now a free agent.

Remaining in Major League camp are 31 players (one non-roster invitee), which includes 16 pitchers, two catchers, nine infielders, and four outfielders.
