Brewers Community Foundation announces more Than $3.2 million raised in 2022 Brewers season

MILWAUKEE – Brewers Community Foundation (BCF), the charitable arm of the Milwaukee Brewers, today announced that more than $3.2 million was raised this season through the Foundation’s numerous events, programs, donations and related initiatives.

In 2022, approximately 160 non-profit organizations received funding from BCF to support programs in the areas of health, education, recreation, basic needs and social justice issues, including Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC), Sharp Literacy, Habitat for Humanity, African American Chamber of Commerce, League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Urban Ecology Center and Journey House.

Every player on the team's roster, along with investors, Brewers Wives, fans, sponsors, and members of the front office, contributed to BCF through financial contributions and involvement in community events that were critically important.

“BCF relies on our generous fans and many community efforts to raise money for these community organizations,” said BCF Executive Director Cecelia Gore. “I’m proud of the support we’ve been able to provide, and we appreciate the ability to partner with our fans to fundraise within the community. We are thankful for the support and for the opportunity to provide funding to many essential non-profits in Wisconsin.”

BCF partners with fans and supporters to fundraise through various initiatives, including the 50/50 Raffle at every Brewers home game, the 5K/10K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk, Drive for Charity, Ultimate Auction and BCF Weekends. The Leadership Council – a group of corporate partners whose vital support makes many of these initiatives possible – includes American Family Insurance, Aurora Health Care, Baker Tilly US LLP, Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Johnson Controls, Lubar & Co., Molson Coors, The Milwaukee Admirals, Northwestern Mutual, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino and We Energies Foundation.

A longtime fan-favorite, the 50/50 Raffle allows fans the opportunity to make a contribution to BCF while also earning a shot at winning half of that day’s proceeds. The largest winning prize for a lucky fan in 2022 was more than $36,000.

Brewers fans hit a home run in supporting BCF’s four Drive for Charity events in 2022, hosted as both drive-thru and in-ballpark collections. Fans donated non-perishable food items, school supplies, pet supplies, new hats, mittens and scarves to support the United Way of Milwaukee and Waukesha, Hunger Task Force, Cathedral Center and the Women’s Center of Waukesha.

BCF harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in the Greater Milwaukee area and throughout Wisconsin. Over the past decade, BCF has generated more than $50 million to support local non-profits in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. Approximately 200 non-profit organizations receive funding annually through the Foundation’s initiatives.
