D-backs acquire Christian Cerda from Rays for David Peralta

The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired C Christian Cerda from the Tampa Bay Rays for OF David Peralta.

Peralta, 34, played 9 seasons for the D-backs (2014-22) and won the 2018 Louisville Slugger ® Silver Slugger™ Award and the 2019 Rawlings Gold Glove Award® (both in LF).
• Batted .283 (960-for-3,397)/.340 OBP/.463 SLG with 191 doubles, 46 triples, 110 home runs and 468 RBI in 961 games with Arizona.
• Ranks among D-backs all-time leaders in triples (2nd), games (3rd), hits (3rd), doubles (4th), RBI (4th) and home runs (6th).

The D-backs’ 40-man roster is at 39.
