D-backs acquire Keegan Curtis from Yankees for Tim Locastro

The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired RHP Keegan Curtis from the New York Yankees for OF Tim Locastro.

Curtis, 25, was 1-1 with 2 saves, a 3.94 ERA (7 ER in 16.0 IP) and 27 strikeouts (15.2 SO/9.0 IP) in 12 relief appearances with Double-A Somerset in 2021. He did not play in 2020 due to no Minor League season.

In 4 years in the Yankees’ Minor League system, he was 4-3 with 7 saves, a 3.29 ERA (24 ER in 65.2 IP) and 83 strikeouts (11.4 SO/9.0 IP) in 42 games.

Curtis was selected by the Yankees in the 22nd round of the 2018 draft out of Univiersity of Louisiana Monroe.
