D-backs celebrate Latino community with their 25th annual Hispanic Heritage Weekend, Presented by Estrella Jalisco

The Arizona Diamondbacks weekend-long Hispanic Heritage Weekend, presented by Estrella Jalisco and participating partners Arizona Milk Producers, Cox and Honeywell, will highlight different Hispanic cultures and groups throughout the three-game series versus the Chicago Cubs, September 15-17.

FRIDAY

On Friday, Sept. 15, the D-backs will recognize the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s 75th anniversary; Chicanos Por La Causa’s 55th anniversary; and the Global Chamber Phoenix for their impact on the local Hispanic community.

In conjunction with Roberto Clemente Day, the night’s festivities include a Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration. The special ticket package discounted tickets are still available, but the Puerto Rican Heritage Cap is sold out. There will be special performances by Mambo de León, Latin DJ D-Lo, Orgullo Boricua and Que Candela Dance Co.

The D-backs will also celebrate the community impact and contributions of Nick Ahmed, the team’s Roberto Clemente Award nominee, during pregame.

Jesús Ramos, Jr. and Elijah García, both Mexican-American boxers from Arizona, will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch. Ramos, Jr. is from Casa Grande and García lives in Glendale.

SATURDAY

The first 15,000 fans through the gates on Saturday, Sept. 16 will receive a Serpientes Cap, courtesy of Pepsi (pictured).
