D-backs reinstate Taylor Clarke from paternity list; Option Stefan Crichton to Triple-A Reno

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated RHP Taylor Clarke (@t_clarke9) from the paternity list and optioned RHP Stefan Crichton to Triple-A Reno.

Clarke, 26, and his wife, Taylor, welcomed their third child, a daughter, Bayley Marie, on July 25. Clarke is 3-3 with 1 save and a 6.10 ERA (35 ER in 51 2/3 IP) in 12 games (11 starts) with the D-backs in 2019, including a win in his last start on July 24 vs. Orioles, allowing 2 runs over 6 innings with a career-high 7 strikeouts. He is scheduled to start Tuesday night’s game @ Yankees.

Crichton, 27, has posted a 3.07 ERA (5 ER in 14 2/3 IP), .173 opponent average, 14 strikeouts and 5 walks in 12 appearances for the D-backs this season.
