Dayton Moore honored with 2022 Ripple of Kindness Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Kansas City Royals President of Baseball Operations, Dayton Moore, was honored by SevenDays with the 2022 Ripple of Kindness Award this morning for the charitable work he does in the Kansas City community.

The award was presented to Moore this morning at United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kan., by the 2021 honoree of this award, former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Trent Green.

SevenDays is a Kansas City-based nonprofit organization that overcomes hate by promoting kindness and understanding through education and dialogue. This year, SevenDays takes place from April 13-24 with opportunities for all of us to “practice” kindness so it becomes a daily habit.

SevenDays was born out of hate when a White Supremacist murdered Reat Underwood, his grandfather Dr. William Corporon and Terri LaManno on April 13, 2014 outside of Jewish facilities. In honor of those events, Moore (through his C You in the Majors Leagues foundation) has hosted camps at the Jewish Community Center for each of the last eight years.
