Dodgers open 10-game homestand tomorrow
LOS ANGELES – The first-place Los Angeles Dodgers, who have the best record in baseball, return home tomorrow and will take on the San Diego Padres (Aug. 1-4), St. Louis Cardinals (Aug. 5-7) and Arizona Diamondbacks (Aug. 9-11) during their 10-game homestand.
The homestand will be highlighted by Kenley Jansen Bobblehead Night presented by State Farm on Monday, August 5, when the club will salute its all-time saves leader. The team will also honor another franchise icon during pregame ceremonies that night, and recognize Manny Mota for his 50 years of service to the organization as a player, coach and broadcaster. Other promotions during the homestand include two sets of Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny’s (Aug. 2, Aug. 9), a socks giveaway presented by Spectrum on Aug. 3, a baseball card giveaway presented by Topps on Aug. 10 and a kids backpack giveaway presented by Spectrum on Sunday, August 11. Kids will also have the opportunity to run the bases following Sunday games on both August 4 and August 11.
The Dodgers will be hosting special events during nearly every game of the homestand with Korea Night (Aug. 1), Hawaiian Night (Aug. 2), University of La Verne Night (Aug. 3), Kings Night (Aug. 6), Healthcare Appreciation Night (Aug. 9) and Scouts Night (Aug. 10).
