Dodgers to host Tigers, Giants for five-game homestand starting tomorrow

LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers will return home for their second slate of home games tomorrow, starting with a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers (April 29 – May 1). Following an off-day Monday, the Dodgers will welcome the San Francisco Giants for a two-game set (May 3-4), coinciding with the second Taco Tuesday of the season, presented by Delta Air Lines.

Los Angeles will face Detroit at Dodger Stadium for the first time since 2014, where the clubs previously split their two-game series. The three-game matchup will kick off at 7:10 p.m. on Friday, April 29, as the team celebrates UCLA Night and host a Friday Night Fireworks display themed to 60s music after the game, both presented by UCLA Health. Fans are welcomed to take a picture with Joe Bruin, the university's mascot, and the UCLA Spirit Squad in the Centerfield Plaza before the game and those who purchased a special ticket pack will receive a unique UCLA hat adorned with the Dodger logo. The following night, the first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance will receive a Kirk Gibson bobblehead, presented by Bank of America, ahead of the 7:10 p.m. start. The figurine is the second installment in the Legends of Dodger Baseball bobblehead series and a special video will play during the pregame ceremonies, honoring the Dodger great. Clayton Kershaw's pursuit to become the Dodgers' all-time strikeout leader is scheduled for Saturday night. If he strikes out four batters, he will pass Hall of Famer Don Sutton on the Dodgers' all-time strikeout list with 2,697. Teacher Appreciation Day will bookend the series at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, and fans will receive a one-of-a-kind t-shirt highlighting our nation's educators if they purchased a special ticket pack. After the game, kids 14 and under are welcomed to let loose and participate in the Kids Run the Bases program, presented by Nike.

The homestand wraps up with a pair of games on Tuesday and Wednesday, both at 7:10 p.m., as Los Angeles will face their division rival, the San Francisco Giants, for the first time this year. The two teams last battled one another in the 2021 Divisional Series, where the Dodgers were victorious in its first postseason meeting with San Francisco in franchise history. Fans will enjoy a slew of pregame and postgame entertainment and activities during the matchup, starting with Taco Tuesday, presented by Delta Air Lines. Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuellar will play during pregame and during mid-inning breaks all game long as a tequila sampling and photo opportunity, presented by Herradura Tequila, will take place in the Centerfield Plaza prior to the 7:10 p.m. start. The Dodgers will also welcome Super Bowl LVI champions, the Los Angeles Rams, to the Ravine. Fans can pose with the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy in the Centerfield Plaza during the first four innings of Tuesday's game. Additionally, fans who purchase a special Mother's Day ticket pack will receive a Dodgers makeup bag, presented by Proflowers.

Fans are encouraged to join their favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars Night returns on Wednesday, May 4. DJ Jedi will spin tunes in the Centerfield Plaza as special Star Wars characters will roam Blue Heaven on Earth before and during the game. A special edition beanie will be given to those who purchase a special ticket pack online at dodgers.com/ticketpacks.

While ticket packs are sold out for both UCLA Night and Star Wars Night, tickets remain available for all five games of the homestand and can be purchased at Dodgers.com/Tickets. Fans can also support the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) by purchasing a 50/50 raffle ticket or by visiting the LADF Homebase in centerfield to purchase $10 t-shirts and Mystery Bag Baseballs while supplies last.
