Drew Rasmussen of the Tampa Bay Rays named the American League Pitcher of the Month for June; Logan Webb of the San Francisco Giants named the National League Pitcher of the Month for June
Starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen of the Tampa Bay Rays has been voted the American League Pitcher of the Month for June, and starting pitcher Logan Webb of the San Francisco Giants has been named the National League Pitcher of the Month for June. The announcements were made earlier today on MLB Network.
Rasmussen earned his second career award after previously winning in August 2022 as a member of the Rays. He is one of nine Rays pitchers to win the award and the third to win multiple honors with the club, joining Blake Snell (August & September 2018) and Tyler Glasnow (April 2019 & July 2023). It marks the first award for Tampa Bay since Glasnow’s 2023 honor. In addition to Junior Caminero’s honor as AL Player of the Month, it marks the first time in franchise history that Tampa Bay has won both awards in the same month, becoming the first club to achieve the feat since Aaron Judge and Max Fried won for the New York Yankees in September 2025. Webb earned his first career honor and is the first Giants pitcher to win the award since his rotationmate Robbie Ray garnered honors in May 2025. Overall, Webb is San Francisco’s 17th player to earn Pitcher of the Month honors.

Across five starts, the 30-year-old went 3-2 with a 0.82 ERA (3 ER/33.0 IP) while allowing 16 hits with just four walks, 39 strikeouts, a 0.61 WHIP, a .142 opponents’ batting average and 10.64 strikeouts per 9.0 innings.
The Puyallup, Washington native ranked second among qualified pitchers in ERA and WHIP, trailing only Webb; ranked third in opponents’ batting average; and tied for sixth in strikeouts.
The 2025 All-Star fired at least 6.0 innings in all five of his starts, posting scoreless starts on June 5th at Miami, June 10th against Boston and June 28th against Arizona. He opened his month with back-to-back scoreless starts of 7.0 innings, joining Chris Archer (April 2015) as the only pitchers to turn in consecutive
starts of at least 7.0 scoreless innings and two-or-fewer hits. With nine strikeouts on June 5th and career-high 13 strikeouts on June 10th, he became the first pitcher since Dylan Cease in July 2024 with at least nine strikeouts and fewer than two hits in back-to-back starts of at least 7.0 scoreless frames.
The 31st overall pick of the 2014 Draft became the 10th pitcher in franchise history (15th occurrence) with at least 13 strikeouts in a game and the first since Tyler Glasnow had 14 strikeouts, also against Boston, on September 6, 2023. Rasmussen had at least five strikeouts in each of his starts in June, with at least seven strikeouts in each of his first three starts of the month.
The Oregon State University product became the fourth Rays pitcher with at least 35 strikeouts and fewer than 17 hits allowed in a single month, joining Blake Snell (36 SO/14 H in April 2019); Glasnow (38 SO/16 H in August 2018); and Matt Moore (38 SO/13 H in April 2013). Rasmussen is just the second pitcher in franchise history to permit three-or-fewer runs in a month with at least 35 strikeouts, joining Rich Hill, who had 36 strikeouts and also permitted three runs in May 2021.
The right-hander is just the seventh pitcher (eighth occurrence) in the Divisional Era (since 1969) with a single month of at least 39 strikeouts, three-or-fewer runs allowed and four-or-fewer walks. He joined Cristopher Sánchez (May 2026); Chris Sale (2x: May 2024 & July 2018); Tarik Skubal (September 2023); Jacob deGrom (June 2021); Clayton Kershaw (July 2015); and Jake Arrieta (September 2015).
Logan Webb, San Francisco Giants (@loganwebb16)
- Across five starts, the 29-year-old went 3-1 with a 0.71 ERA (3 ER/38.0 IP) while allowing 19 hits with just four walks, 29 strikeouts, a 0.61 WHIP, a .148 opponents’ batting average and 6.87 strikeouts per 9.0 innings.
- The Rocklin, California native paced qualified pitchers in ERA and WHIP; ranked second in innings pitched; ranked fourth in opponents’ batting average; and was one of three pitchers to throw a complete game.
- The two-time All-Star dealt at least 7.0 innings in all five of his starts, becoming the first Giants pitcher to make five consecutive starts of at least 7.0 innings since Ty Blach did so twice in 2017. Webb
- permitted two-or-fewer runs in all five starts, becoming the first Giants pitcher since Madison Bumgarner in 2013 (6 GS) to make at least five consecutive starts of 7.0 innings and two-or-fewer runs permitted. Overall, his eight starts of at least 7.0 innings this season are tied with Nathan Eovaldi, Sánchez and Michael Wacha for the most in the Majors.
- The 2025 Rawlings Gold Glover became the third Giants pitcher in the Divisional Era (since 1969) to throw at least 35.0 innings in a single month and maintain an ERA under 0.75, joining Kevin Gausman (37.0 IP, 0.73 ERA in May 2021) and Noah Lowry (39.1 IP, 0.69 ERA in August 2005). Of the group, Webb’s four walks were the fewest.
- The fourth-round selection in the 2014 Draft carried a no-hit bid into the seventh inning on June 3rd against Milwaukee, before permitting a one-out single to Brice Turang. It marked the longest no-hit bid by a Giants pitcher since Blake Snell’s no-hitter on August 2, 2024 at Cincinnati. San Francisco won the game 1-0, marking the third start in his career in which the Giants won 1-0, with Webb earning the win in all three contests after throwing shutouts on July 9, 2023 and July 31, 2024. His three starts in 1-0 victories since 2023 are tied for second-most in the Majors with Luis Castillo, Nick Martinez, Nick Pivetta and Paul Skenes behind only George Kirby’s five such starts.
- The right-hander went the distance for the third time in his career on June 21st at Miami, taking the loss behind 8.0 innings of two-run ball. It was his first complete game since throwing a five-hit shutout on July 31, 2024 against the Athletics.
