8x Grammy Award-winning multiplatinum global superstar Usher to headline Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Annual Blue Diamond Gala on June 22, 2023

LOS ANGELES (March 21, 2023) – This year’s Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) Blue Diamond Gala is celebrating ‘10 Years Reimagined’ at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, June 22 featuring a private benefit concert by 8x GRAMMY Award Winner, Usher. The gala, deemed ‘The Party For LA’, is presented by the Los Angeles Dodgers Ownership Group. The evening will kick off with a star-studded blue carpet and pre-show dinner party followed by two hours of entertainment including a DJ set by the legendary, award-winning D-Nice and post-show party food trucks. In addition to the live performances, special guests will include Dodger players, alumni, coaches, and other celebrities.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit LADF and the organization’s programs and initiatives aimed at improving education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all Angelenos.

“The seventh annual Blue Diamond Gala celebrates LADF’s positive impact as we champion for Los Angeles communities,” said Mark Walter, Los Angeles Dodgers Owner and LADF Board Chair. “We are thrilled to have Usher perform this year at ‘The Party for LA’ to raise vital funds allowing us to invest in Angelenos and provide the opportunities that they deserve.”

Under this new ownership group, LADF was reimagined in 2013 and has since raised over $81 million and is on track to raising $100 million in 2023. In the last decade, LADF has invested more than $50 million in their programs and grants to local organizations and impacted more than 9 million youth.

The Foundation provides its comprehensive sports-based youth development program, Dodgers Dreamteam, to 12,000 youth annually by providing significant health and education resources and services to level the socio-economic playing field and by building 58 baseball and softball fields in underserved communities that over 400,000 youth can access. Additionally, LADF offers a Science of Baseball curriculum and programming to elementary and middle school teachers and students in Los Angeles, exposes high school and college students to college and career opportunities in its College and Career Accelerator, partners with local social justice organizations to amplify the voices of Black and Brown leaders and organizations in LA, and funds more than 100 nonprofits annually. With an ongoing concentration on food insecurity, exacerbated by the pandemic, LADF has provided over nine million meals to Los Angeles families. Proceeds from the Blue Diamond Gala will support the continuation and scaling of this important work.
