Graduates of ‘Reds Workmanship Group’ to be honored at GABP on Wednesday
Four recent graduates of a hands-on worker training program between the Cincinnati Reds and the FX Facility Group will be honored on the field on Wednesday, April 26 before the Reds vs. Texas Rangers game (12:35 p.m.) at Great American Ball Park.
The Reds teamed up to launch the “Reds Workmanship Group” in 2022 with the FX Facility Group, one of Greater Cincinnati’s largest minority-owned firms and a division of downtown-based D.E. Foxx and Associates.
The second year of the program brought four individuals to Great American Ball Park for a four-month paid apprenticeship in fields involved in maintaining and improving the ballpark including electrical work, painting, HVAC and plumbing.
Members of the 2023 Reds Workmanship Group graduating class:
- Trevell Williams, Electrician
- Jehan Georges, Painter
- Ashton Padgett, HVAC
- Amos Israel, Plumber
The graduates will participate in an on-field ceremony and will be presented with a certificate of completion and a custom-engraved baseball bat.

Overseen by Reds Ballpark Operations professionals, the goal of the Reds Workmanship Group is for each participant to focus on a specific trade and after completing the training get on a management trajectory in that respective field and continue their careers with FX Facility Group.
