Live music returns to downtown Baltimore through Birdland Summer Music Series

The Orioles today announced that the Birdland Summer Music Series will return to Oriole Park in 2021 with a post-game concert following an Orioles home game later this summer.

On Thursday, September 16, rising country star CARTER FAITH will open for Grammy-nominated folk rock band THE AVETT BROTHERS after the 5:05 p.m. game against the New York Yankees.

The Birdland Summer Music Series marks the return of live entertainment to downtown Baltimore as some of the first concert performances in Charm City since the pandemic began.

“Music and sports have always had the power to bring people together,” said JENNIFER GRONDAHL, Orioles Senior Vice President of Community Development and Communications. “The Orioles are excited to offer an experience unlike any other to our fans as we continue our goal of bringing more visitors to downtown Baltimore and solidifying Camden Yards as an elite entertainment destination for the State of Maryland.”

“We love Baltimore and can’t wait to pick up right where we left off with this wonderful city,” said SETH AVETT. “There’s no better place to reunite than the historic home of the Orioles.”

The post-game concert is included with purchase of a game ticket for that date and will be open to all fans in attendance. Special on-field passes are also available for purchase for those that wish to be closer to the action, offered at $40.

As part of the Orioles’ commitment to empowering our youth and strengthening our community, fans will have the opportunity to share their love of music by making a voluntary donation to benefit Baltimore-based arts and music education organizations at the time of their ticket purchase. The Orioles will match up to $10,000 in fan donations, with all proceeds benefiting the Orioles Charitable Foundation’s Athletes and Artists Play for Kids Educational Scholarship Fund. Since establishing the Athletes and Artists fund in 2015, more than $400,000 has benefited Girls, Inc., Baltimore School for the Arts, Jubilee Arts, the YMCA, and other charitable organizations in Baltimore, Sarasota, and Nashville.
