Mets announce revised 2022 schedule

FLUSHING, N.Y., March 16, 2022 **– **Major League Baseball today announced that the Mets 2022 opening series vs. Washington, Thursday, March 31- through Sunday, April 3, has been rescheduled for Monday, October 3 through Wednesday, October 5 at Citi Field.

In addition, the two-game series vs. Atlanta, Monday, April 4 and Tuesday, April 5, has been shifted to two doubleheaders. On Tuesday, May 3, the Mets will host the Braves in a single admission doubleheader beginning at 3:10 pm. and on Saturday, August 6, the Mets will play Atlanta in a split doubleheader with the first game beginning at 1:10 pm and the second one starting at 7:10 pm. The Mets moved their Wednesday, June 29 game vs. Houston to a 1:10 pm start.

The Mets also announced that Sunday home games in 2022 will start at 1:40 pm to accommodate MLB’s national media rights requirements.
