Milwaukee Brewers Announce the "Alumni Legends Game, Presented by Northwestern Mutual"

MILWAUKEE – Last season, the Brewers introduced the Alumni Home Run Derby following the team’s rare Friday afternoon game. The event sold out and was an instant classic with American Family Field packed with roaring fans as Keon Broxton hit a mammoth walk-off blast to take home the trophy. With the success of last year’s event, the Milwaukee Brewers will dial it up a notch this season in hosting the Alumni Legends Game on Friday, July 24, at American Family Field. Like last year, the event will follow the Brewers special 3:10 p.m. Friday start against the Colorado Rockies. The Alumni Legends Game, presented by Northwestern Mutual, is part of the American Family Field 25th Anniversary celebration.

The Alumni Legends Game will bring together approximately 30 former Milwaukee Brewers players for a competitive and entertaining exhibition celebrating the club’s history and generations of Brewers baseball. Fan-favorites such as Ryan Braun, Yovani Gallardo, Geoff Jenkins, Mike Moustakas and Ben Sheets will be among the many players excited to return to American Family Field. The Alumni Legends Game will begin 15 minutes postgame with a 3-inning format.

“The response to last year’s Home Run Derby was phenomenal; not only did the event sell out, the experience turned out to be a fan favorite among the many special 2025 highlights at American Family Field,” said Brewers President – Business Operations, Rick Schlesinger. “After the success of the Derby, we quickly pivoted to 2026 to build another alumni event around a Friday afternoon start. This Alumni Legends Game is a natural fit.”

Doug Melvin and Gord Ash, who led the Brewers Baseball Operations efforts for 13 seasons, will square off as opposing General Managers for the Alumni Legends Game. The two executives will select their rosters from the traveling alumni list.

The full list of participating players and team rosters will be announced at a later date.

“The Home Run Derby last year exceeded all my expectations – the energy in the packed ballpark was incredible,” said Brewers legend and Walk of Fame member Ryan Braun. “Events like this are really special. My family and I always love coming back to Milwaukee, and I’m excited to reconnect with our great fans and spend time with my former teammates again.”

Fans looking to enhance their Alumni Legends Game experience can choose from one of two Theme Night ticket options celebrating the ballpark milestone. The Alumni Legends Game Theme Night special ticket includes a limited-edition Bowling Shirt and an autographed photo card from a Brewers Alumni Legends Game player. For fans seeking the ultimate anniversary experience, the VIP package includes a game ticket on the Club Level, a Bowling Shirt and autographed photo card, as well as a photo opportunity with a fan-favorite Legends game player.
