Minnesota Twins Homestand Highlights: August 15-20
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The first-place Minnesota Twins return to Target Field tonight for their 10th homestand of the season, a five-game, six-day stay against American League Central division rival the Detroit Tigers and National League Central division opponent the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Tigers are in town for a quick two-game series tonight (August 15) through tomorrow in what will be the final Minnesota appearances for Detroit legend and future Hall of Famer Miguel Cabrera. Following Thursday’s off-day, the Twins welcome the Pirates for three games over the weekend from August 18-20.

- Celebrating Youth: The Twins are proud to partner with Bally Sports North to celebrate a group of “Bally Sports North All-Stars” from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities at tonight’s game.
- Thanks, Miggy!: Prior to tonight’s game, the Twins will pay tribute to longtime foe Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers, on his final trip to Target Field. The 21-year veteran has said that 2023 will be his final major league season.

Star Wars Night: The force is strong at Target Field as the Twins celebrate Star Wars Night!
Gate Giveaway: The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a Twins-themed Star Wars T-Shirt.
Theme Night Package: Fans who purchase this special theme night package will receive a ticket to the game, plus an exclusive, R2-D2-styled and co-branded Star Wars/Twins lightweight hoodie.
Postgame Drone Show: Following the game, Target Field’s first-ever drone show will feature more than 200 drones flying in formation, lighting up the night sky in a dazzling display set to Star Wars-themed music.

- Deaf and Hard of Hearing Night: Target Field and Twins baseball are for everyone; on Saturday, the team is proud to welcome nearly 50 people representing Deaf Equity, Minnesota Deaf Queers, Minnesota Deaf Muslim Community and St. Paul/Minneapolis Black Deaf Advocates. The group will perform sign language for the national anthem prior to the game and for “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh-inning stretch.
- The Players Alliance: To conclude daylong activities for The Players Alliance Equip The Future Mentorship Tour, the Twins will host 20 Black high school students (mix of baseball and softball players) from Minneapolis North and Patrick Henry High Schools, along with members of the The Players Alliance, for Saturday night’s game.

A member of the T.C. Sluggers Kids Club will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Nine lucky kids will take the field with the Twins before the top of the first inning as part of the Perkins Kids Starting Lineup.
Bullseye’s Backyard presented by Target will be set up inside Gate 34, featuring interactive activities including Big Catch, Run the Bases and a coloring mural to let kids of all ages leave their mark on Target Field. The activation also provides the opportunity for kids to print their own baseball cards, win ticket upgrades, get a custom screen-printed bag or bandanna and even the chance to be selected as the Target Ball Kid for a game.
