MLB announces 2022 postseason schedule

Major League Baseball today announced the schedule for the 2022 Postseason, which is set to open with four games from the American League Wild Card Series presented by Hankook Tire and National League Wild Card Series presented by Hankook Tire on ESPN, ABC and ESPN2 on Friday, October 7th. Game One of the 2022 World Series presented by Capital One on FOX is scheduled for Friday, October 28th at the home of the League Champion with the superior 2022 regular season record.

The openers of all four AL and NL Division Series will be scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 11th. Overall, the Division Series are scheduled to run from Tuesday, October 11th through the following Monday, October 17th, with potential Game Fives on Sunday, October 16th (NLDS) and Monday, October 17th (ALDS). FOX or FS1 will combine to cover the NLDS and TBS will cover all ALDS games.

The National League Championship Series presented by loanDepot will begin on Tuesday, October 18th, and will be televised by FOX or FS1. The American League Championship Series presented by loanDepot, set to start on Wednesday, October 19th, will be telecast by TBS. A potential Game Seven of the NLCS is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25th, while a potential Game Seven of the ALCS is set for Wednesday, October 26th.

Game One of the 2022 World Series presented by Capital One is scheduled for Friday, October 28th, and the 118th Fall Classic will change sites for Game Three on Monday, October 31st. If a Game Seven proves necessary, it would be scheduled for Saturday, November 5th. The scheduled off days during the World Series are Sunday, October 30th and Thursday, November 3rd (if a Game Six is necessary). FOX Sports will present live telecast coverage of the World Series for the 25th time.

All games telecast on TBS, FOX and FS1 will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider.

The Wild Card Series will also be available via the ESPN App. ESPN Radio will provide live national coverage of all 2022 MLB Postseason games, including the Wild Card Series.
