OF Skye Bolt claimed off waivers by San Francisco

OAKLAND, Calif. – Outfielder Skye Bolt was claimed off waivers by the San Francisco Giants, the club announced today. Bolt was designated for assignment last Thursday.

Bolt hit .182 in eight games this spring before he was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas March 15. He was originally drafted by the A’s in the 4th round of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft and is a .249 hitter with 54 home runs and 252 RBI in 480 games in five seasons in the Minors. The 27-year-old switch-hitter made his Major League debut with Oakland in 2019 and went 1-for-10 (.100) in five games.
