Orioles announce new "Dog Days of August" promotion

Following the success of last night’s Dollar Dogs promotion for National Hot Dog Day, the Orioles today announced the new “Dog Days of August” promotion, inviting fans to bring their dogs to Oriole Park and enjoy more Dollar Dogs during both Thursday home games in August.

All fans in attendance on Thursday, August 1 and Thursday, August 22 will be able to enjoy $1 hot dogs, which will be available at all Camden Franks, O’ What a Dog, Baseline Burgers, Charm City Chicken Shack, and Roma Sausage locations throughout the ballpark.

In addition, fans have the opportunity to bring their dogs to the ballpark through the Dog Days of August special ticket package. Tickets in the Dog Days of August sections in the Left Field Lower Box are available exclusively at Orioles.com/DogDays for $33 for humans and $10 for dogs.

The Dog Days of August promotion is another example of how the Orioles provide one of the most affordable, family-friendly visitor experiences in sports, including a comprehensive set of kids programming and family amenities. Throughout the season, kids age 9 and younger can attend games at Oriole Park free of charge thanks to the “Kids Cheer Free” initiative, while children and their families can enjoy the Kids’ Corner, which offers entertainment for younger fans and a lounge area for parents. Families can also enjoy the Orioles’ popular Friday Fireworks & Women of Country Music series following every Friday home game from now through August. All kids ages 4-14 can round the bases like their favorite Orioles after each Sunday home game as part of Kids Run the Bases presented by Weis Markets. The Junior Orioles Dugout Club is the official Kids Club of the Orioles and is available for all children age 14 and under. For a complete list of the Orioles’ family-friendly initiatives, please visit Orioles.com/Kids.

The Orioles also hosted Bark at Oriole Park in May and are hosting the second and final Bark at Oriole Park this season on September 10. For a complete list of 2019 promotions, please visit Orioles.com/Promotions.

A release and waiver form must be signed and brought to the game for entry with each dog. These forms can be printed from the Orioles.com/DogDays page. Time permitting, forms will also be mailed with the tickets. Each ticket holder also must bring a copy of the dog’s vaccination form(s) to the game. All dogs will be required to have current Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations. All dogs must have ID tags, be on a leash at all times, and be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older.

All dogs must remain in the designated Dog Days of August locations throughout the game. A nearby pet relief area will be available, and dog owners must pick up any pet waste. No more than one dog per adult (18 years of age or older) will be permitted. Dogs must be at least six months old.

While there will be water stations and shaded areas available, the seating will be exposed to sun for a portion of the game. Fans are encouraged to bring spray bottles to keep dogs cool in case of heat and are asked to monitor their pets for signs of overheating. A veterinarian will be on hand in case of emergency, injury, or illness. It is the dog owner’s sole responsibility to care for and be in control of their pet while visiting Oriole Park.
