Orioles Announce Plans for Hispanic Heritage Night Celebration

The Orioles today announced a full slate of Hispanic Heritage Night celebrations when the club hosts the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, September 18, at 7:05 p.m. ET, to open their final homestand of the season. The evening will feature a Los Orioles Jersey giveaway, live Latin music performances, appearances by Hispanic and Latin Orioles alumni and prospects, a pregame ceremony celebrating Hispanic and Latin Orioles players and staff, and more. ITo open the evening, 15,000 fans aged 21 and over will receive a Los Orioles Jersey, presented by Corona. The Orioles collaborated with JOSUE MARTINEZ, founder of Corinto Gallery located in Oxon Hill, Md., and Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) alumnus, who designed the Hispanic Heritage Night giveaway. Born in Corinto, El Salvador, Martinez is a multimedia artist and graphic designer who embedded inspiration from his Latin roots into the one-of-a-kind jersey giveaway.

Before the game, fans can enjoy a live pregame performance by BAILES DE MI TIERRA, a Mexican folk dance group, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Legends Park. Orioles alumni will be on Eutaw Street near the New Era Store from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. to sign autographs for fans, free of charge. Alumni will also be behind the bar at the Corona Flag Court Bar to meet and take photos with fans following the autograph session.

Fans can take advantage of various Hispanic Heritage-inspired photo opportunities throughout the ballpark, including a Hispanic Heritage Night backdrop starting at 5:30 p.m. in Legends Park and the Corona wall mural beside the Corona Flag Court Bar all evening.

The Orioles will also join the Brewers to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in a special ceremony prior to Friday’s game. As part of the ceremony, players, coaches, and uniformed personnel with Latin and Hispanic roots will take the field holding the flag of their respective country. Fans can also enjoy Hispanic and Latin-themed music, video board graphics, and additional in-game entertainment throughout the evening.

Limited-edition Hispanic Heritage-inspired merchandise, including a Hispanic Heritage Hat and Tee by New Era and a WinCraft Orioles Pin, will be available at the ballpark beginning Friday. These limited-edition merch items will only be available at the Team Store at Oriole Park while supplies last. Additionally, the Orioles will unveil the “Nacho Dog” during Friday’s game, a Berks beef hotdog crusted with tortilla chips and topped with nacho cheese sauce, jalapeños, and Cantina Ketchup, which will be available for a limited time only at Bleacher Grill.
