Padres announce 2021 promotional schedule
SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres today announced their 2021 promotional schedule, including all-fan giveaways and events every home weekend during the remainder of the 2021 Major League Baseball season. Single-game tickets for remaining 2021 regular season home games will go on sale this Friday, June 4 at 10:00 a.m. at www.padres.com/tickets.
The excitement kicks off on Thursday, June 17th as the Padres celebrate Petco Park’s return to 100% capacity with all the pageantry of San Diego’s Opening Day, including pre-game DJ entertainment at the Sycuan Stage in Gallagher Square, a presentation of the American flag with over 250 active-duty military members, a military flyover, on-field lineup introductions, and a post-game fireworks show. The Padres and Petco, the health & wellness company for pets, will also honor local frontline heroes whose courageous efforts made this day possible.
Beginning June 18th, every Friday home game is Party in the Park presented by Southwest Airlines featuring a BeerFest, WineFest, CocktailFest, or Fiesta in the Park presented by Verizon. Party in the Park is a pregame happy hour series located in Gallagher Square from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with $5 drink specials and live entertainment.
Saturday games throughout the season will be highlighted by all fan giveaways starting on June 19th when every fan in attendance will receive a Padres Aloha Shirt presented by Southwest Airlines, which will be available in five different sizes (Youth Large, M, L, XL, 2XL; while supplies last). Additional wearables, collectables and fan favorites will be featured in 2021, including a Fernando Tatis Jr. bobblehead (Petco), Beach Towel (Southwest Airlines), Hoodie (COX), Fleece Blanket (Sycuan), Padres Backpack (University of San Diego), MLB Network Reusable Tote Bag, and Panel Hat (Mitel). New to the promotional lineup this season are two dates featuring all-kid giveaway items (available for children 14 and younger) that include a Fernando Tatis Jr. Arm Sleeve and Kids Backpack (SWA). Families can celebrate their Padre with the Padres on Sunday, June 20th for Father’s Day when KidsFest returns to the Sunday lineup before the game in Gallagher Square, as well as Youth Baseball and Softball Day featuring a Padres branded headband presented by JUNK Brands, and post-game catch on the field with Dad (pre-registration required). Budweiser will feature Father’s Day beer specials for Dad with koozies to commemorate the day. Sundays will also continue to serve as Military Appreciation Days presented by USAA with discounted tickets for all veteran and active-duty members and their families (with verification through GOVX). Tuesdays will serve as First Responder Appreciation Days with discounted tickets for first responders and their families (with verification through GOVX).
The Padres provide a variety of special value offerings for the military and first responder communities, including ticket discounts for the military (25 percent off on Sundays and 10 percent off all other days) and first responders (25 percent off on Tuesdays and 10 percent off all other days).
Theme Games will also make their return in 2021 highlighted by partnerships celebrating brands such as Friends, Peanuts, Hello Kitty and Bruce Lee, along with fan favorites STAR WARS® and various heritage nights. Designed to enhance the fan experience and celebrate the diverse community throughout San Diego and the Baja region, Theme Games will feature pop culture, social, heritage, community, family and awareness-based themes. Each Theme Game includes a ticket to the designated game, as well as a limited-edition item and/or experience, and are available through a special Theme Game ticket package at www.padres.com/themegames.
