Padres to Host Split Doubleheader vs. Diamondbacks on Saturday

SAN DIEGO – Due to Hurricane Hilary’s expected arrival into Southern California this weekend, Major League Baseball has rescheduled Sunday’s Padres vs. Diamondbacks game as part of a split doubleheader at Petco Park on Saturday, August 19^th. The first game will begin at 12:10 p.m. PT, while the originally scheduled 5:40 p.m. PT game will remain unchanged.

Tickets for Sunday’s game are valid for the 12:10 p.m. PT game on Saturday, and tickets for the originally scheduled 5:40 p.m. PT game will not be affected. Per the Petco Park rainout policy, refunds will not be issued for rescheduled games.

Gates for the 12:10 p.m. PT game will open at 10:30 a.m. PT, and gates for the 5:40 p.m. PT game will open at approximately 4:00 p.m. PT (*subject to the completion time of the first game). Fans with tickets to both games will be asked to exit the ballpark after the first game and reenter for the evening game.

Media access times will be distributed by the Padres and Diamondbacks PR departments shortly. Major League Baseball will make a determination on Monday’s game at a later time as they gather additional information on the track and timing of the storm.
