Phillies announce additional Spring Training non-roster invitees

The Phillies have invited the following 10 players to attend major league spring training as non-roster invitees:

• Edgar Cabral, C – Cabral, 26, was re-signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent on March 9. He appeared in 29 games last season for triple-A Lehigh Valley and started 23 games at catcher. A veteran of six minor league seasons, Cabral was originally selected by the Phillies in the 11th round of the June 2015 draft out of Mt. San Antonio College.
• Nick Duron, RHP – Duron, 26, was signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Jan. 9. The 6-foot-4 righty spent last season in Seattle’s organization, posting a 4.50 ERA over 38 combined relief appearances for double-A Arkansas and triple-A Tacoma. He struck out 43 over 42.0 innings while holding opponents to a .207 batting average. Duron, who has posted a 3.80 ERA in 100 career minor league games (18 starts), was originally selected by Boston in the 31st round of the June 2015 draft.
• Darick Hall, INF – The 26-year-old spent all last season with triple-A Lehigh Valley. Among all Triple-A East hitters, he finished first in games (120), sixth in plate appearances (471), tied for seventh in doubles (27) and tied for ninth in hit by pitches (12). Additionally, Hall led all triple-A first basemen in fielding percentage (.998), games (114), starts (110), innings played (930.1), total chances (826) and putouts (768). The left-handed slugger was selected by the Phillies in the 14th round of the June 2016 draft.
• Scott Kingery, INF – Kingery, 27, had two stints with the Phillies in 2021, playing second base, third base, left field, center field and right field. He also appeared in 23 games with triple-A Lehigh Valley. Kingery underwent season-ending surgery last July to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. A second-round selection by the Phillies in the June 2015 draft, he has played in 324 major league games since 2018. He collected 57 extra-base hits in 500 plate appearances with the Phillies in 2019.
• Yairo Muñoz, INF – Muñoz was signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent on Feb. 1. He spent most of last year with triple-A Worcester while also appearing in five games with Boston. He posted a 35-game hitting streak (.390) from July 1-Aug. 14, which was the longest such streak in Minor League Baseball last season. The 27-year-old is a .274 career hitter in 213 major league games, making appearances at second base, third base, shortstop and all three outfield spots. He was originally signed by Oakland as an amateur free agent in January 2012.
• Braeden Ogle, LHP – The 6-foot-2 southpaw was acquired by the Phillies from Pittsburgh on July 30, 2021. He began last season with triple-A Indianapolis, where he had a ground-ball percentage of 49.3 in 24 games. He then made 20 appearances with triple-A Lehigh Valley following the trade. Overall, he struck out 60 in 50.2 innings (10.66 SO/9.0 IP). Ogle, 24, was originally selected by the Pirates in the fourth round of the June 2016 draft.
• Logan O’Hoppe, C – The 22-year-old combined to hit .270 with 19 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs, 58 RBI and a .789 OPS in 104 games between single-A Jersey Shore, double-A Reading and triple-A Lehigh Valley last year. His 106 hits and 180 total bases both ranked second among all Phillies minor league players. Following the season, he played for Peoria in the Arizona Fall League and posted a .299/.440/.519 slash line in 22 games. He also started for the West squad in the AFL’s Fall Stars Game. O’Hoppe was selected by the Phillies in the 23rd round of the June 2018 draft.
• Johan Rojas, OF – Rojas, 21, led all Phillies minor leaguers in stolen bases (34) while ranking second in runs (69) and third in hits (100) last season. He spent most of 2021 with single-A Clearwater before finishing the season with single-A Jersey Shore, slugging a professional-best 11 homers in 96 combined games. He also totaled seven outfield assists. Recently, he was rated as the best defensive outfielder in the Phillies minor league system by Baseball America. Rojas was signed by the Phillies as an amateur free agent in January 2018.
• Bryson Stott, INF – Stott was the recipient of the 2021 Paul Owens Award, presented annually to the organization’s top minor league player. He posted a .299/.390/.486 slash line in 112 combined games with single-A Jersey Shore, double-A Reading and triple-A Lehigh Valley. He finished second in batting average (.301) among qualifying Double-A Northeast hitters. Additionally, the 24-year-old started at second base for the NL team in the All-Star Futures Game. Following the season, he played for Peoria in the Arizona Fall League and reached base safely in all 26 of his games (.445 OBP). He also led the AFL in RBI (31) and walks (24) and was tied for first in games. Stott, who was selected by the Phillies in the first round (14th overall) of the June 2019 draft, was recently named the No. 67 prospect in the sport by Baseball America.
• Justin Williams, OF – Williams, 26, appeared in 51 games for St. Louis last season. He also appeared in 29 games in the minors, including 23 with triple-A Memphis. Williams has batted .294 with a .777 OPS in 630 career minor league games since 2013. He made his major league debut in 2018 with Tampa Bay. The left-handed hitter was signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent on March 3. He was originally selected by Arizona in the second round of the June 2013 draft.

As previously announced, the Phillies signed the following seven pitchers to minor league contracts with invitations to attend major league spring training: RHP Cam Bedrosian, RHP Andrew Bellatti, RHP Tyler Cyr, LHP Kyle Dohy, RHP Joe Gatto, RHP Michael Kelly and RHP Jake Newberry. In total, the Phillies will have 17 non-roster invitees in camp: seven right-handers, two left-handers, two catchers, four infielders and two outfielders.
