Rangers Select Infielder Jonah Bride from Triple-A Round Rock, Option Outfielder Alejandro Osuna to Triple-A Round Rock

Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers announced the following transactions prior to today’s series finale against the Baltimore Orioles at Globe Life Field:

Bride, 30, batted .282/.401/.425/.826 (98-348) with 10 home runs, 20 doubles, 60 RBI, 9 stolen bases, 66 runs, and more walks (72) than strikeouts (69) in 97 games for Triple-A Round Rock this season. The utility infielder paced the Express in games played, hits, RBI, and walks, appearing mostly at first base (45 starts) and third base (29 starts), while seeing limited action in leftfield (6 starts). Bride tallied the 4th-most walks among Pacific Coast League hitters through Saturday and posted the 8th-highest qualified on-base percentage on the circuit. In his last 13 games since July 23, the Owasso, Okla. native slashed .386/.492/.545/1.037 (17-44) with 13 RBI and 12 walks.

A non-roster invitee to Rangers Major League camp this spring after signing a minor league contract on December 2, 2025, Bride logged 20 Cactus League appearances with Texas before being assigned to Round Rock. 2026 marks his 5th consecutive year on a 26-man roster, with Bride owning a .221/.311/.313/.624 (131-594) slash line, 12 home runs, and 57 RBI in 214 career MLB games for Oakland (2022-23), Miami (2024-25), and Minnesota (2025). He produced a career-high 0.9 baseball-reference WAR for the Skip Schumaker-led Marlins in 2024. Bride's last MLB appearance came on June 29, 2025 at Detroit with the Twins. The University of South Carolina product was originally drafted by the Athletics in the 23rd round of the 2018 MLB Draft.

Osuna, 23, has batted .255 (49-192) with one home run, 5 doubles, and 24 RBI across 76 games spanning two stints with Texas this season (April 22-June 3, June 14-August 8), making starts in leftfield (49), centerfield (5), rightfield (3), and designated hitter (1). Each of Osuna’s last four appearances for Texas came as a substitute, most recently in last night’s win over Baltimore when he entered as a pinch runner in the 8th inning and scored on Corey Seager’s 3-run home run.

The 26-year-old Leiter was placed on the 15-day Injured List on June 21, retroactive to June 19, missing Texas’ last 43 games due to a right ankle posterior impingement. The first day Leiter is eligible to be activated is August 18.

With today’s transactions, the Rangers have 40 players on the club’s Major League roster, along with seven players on the 60-day Injured List (RHP’s Carter Baumler, Jose Corniell, and Jack Leiter, LHP’s Jalen Beeks and Robert Garcia, INF/OF Michael Helman, and C Danny Jansen).
