Rangers to host Rays and Giants in five-game homestand, June 4-9 at Globe Life Field

Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers Return to Globe Life Field on Friday, June 4, to begin a five-game homestand.

The Rangers will open the homestand in a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Games will be played on Friday, June 4 at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, June 5 at 3:05 p.m., and Sunday, June 6 at 1:35 p.m.

The homestand will resume on June 8 with a two-game series against the San Francisco Giants. The Rangers will face the Giants on Tuesday, June 8 at 7:05 p.m., and Wednesday, June 9 at 1:05 p.m.

On Friday, June 4, the first 7,000 fans will receive a Mural t-shirt featuring the Home Team Mural located on the upper concourse near the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch. The mural was designed by Arlington artist Tex Moton, paying tribute the some of the most memorable Rangers uniforms.

Pre-game ceremonies on Friday will include recognition of the inaugural Charley Pride Fellowship Class of 2021, Kendall Coleman, Ashley Go, Cornysia Island, Neemekh Mudvari and Jordan Thomas. They will be recognized with Mr. Pride’s wife, Rozene, and son, Dion, who will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America.

On June 4, in honor of Major League Baseball’s inaugural Lou Gehrig Day, the Rangers are hosting five families associated with the ALS Society of Texas. At the top of the 4th inning, the team will introduce these families: Jim and Tamara Hilliard, parents of Colorado Rockies Triple-A Affiliate outfielder Sam Hilliard, Bruce and Raquel Gilliam, Mike and Mary Busch, Clint and Jana Hall, and Holly Crowder and her two children and ask all fans to stand and hold up the number 4 in honor of Lou Gehrig. Additionally, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will donate proceeds from Friday’s Texas 2 Split 50/50 raffle to the ALS Society of Texas.

On Saturday, June 5, the Rangers will celebrate Korean Heritage Day. The first 14,000 fans at Saturday’s game will receive a Shin-Soo Choo Leadoff Home Run Bobblehead, presented by Nolan Ryan Beef. The National Anthem will be performed by Ji Soo Lim, and the first pitch will be thrown by Sung lae Hong, head of the Korean Consulate in Dallas.

On Sunday, June 6, the first 7,000 fans will receive a Texas Rangers Powder Blue Beach Towel, presented by Whataburger, and the 2020 Rangers Relievers will be recognized in-game for their outstanding contributions to communities across North Texas.

Tickets for the Rays and Giants series, and all 2021 home games can be purchased at texasrangers.com, by calling 972.RANGERS, and at the Globe Life Field box office located at the Southeast entrance of the park. For all home games, the Rangers are making certain locations of Globe Life Field “Distanced Seating” sections, with tickets sold in pods of two and four seats to allow for more space between occupied seats.
