Rays extend salute to service program nurses

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays have announced the expansion of the popular Salute to Service ticket program to include nurses in the Tampa Bay area. The program is available to active-duty military and veterans, teachers and first responders, now including nurses, and offers two complimentary tickets for select regular season home games and discounted ticket opportunities for other identified games. Some exclusions apply.

Eligible fans may claim tickets at RaysBaseball.com/Military, RaysBaseball.com/Teachers or RaysBaseball.com/FirstResponders. To participate, verification is provided by ID.me, a third-party, MLB-approved verification service. Once verified, participating fans receive emails about future opportunities for complimentary or discounted tickets approximately one week before the included games.

“The Rays fan base includes many people who make it their job to serve all of us and our neighbors,” said Rays President Brian Auld. “It is a small gesture but a big honor to recognize their sacrifice and extend the Salute to Service program to nurses, first responders, military, veterans and teachers. We’re glad to have you at the ballpark with us.”

Salute to Service military tickets are available to active duty, retired or honorably discharged service members of all branches. First responders include police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and nurses. Eligible fans can choose from available seats in the Lower Reserved area or the Party Deck. Additional information and the full list of eligible games is available at RaysBaseball.com/Military, RaysBaseball.com/Teachers and RaysBaseball.com/FirstResponders.
