Rays host Tigers, Blue Jays and Marlins in final homestand

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field tomorrow to conclude their 2021 regular-season home schedule with a 10-game homestand against the Detroit Tigers (September 16-19), Toronto Blue Jays (September 20-22) and Miami Marlins (September 24-26). The 2021 Rays season is presented by Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Thousands of tickets were made available for each game at the $10 price in the Lower Reserved (sections 129-149) and GTE Financial Party Deck sections. Concession specials including $5 Budweiser and Bud Lights, $4 Coca-Cola soft drinks and $5 popcorn and candy will also be available. Tickets are limited and available only online through RaysBaseball.com and the MLB Ballpark app. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

Thursday, September 16 vs. Detroit Tigers

• First Pitch: 7:10 p.m.
• Gates Open: 5:40 p.m.
• Salute to Service: Active duty military, retired and honorably discharged veterans and first responders can receive two (2) complimentary tickets through the Salute to Service program, presented by Jabil Inc., by visiting RaysBaseball.com/Military and RaysBaseball.com/FirstResponders. This offer expires the night before the game at midnight. To participate, eligible fans will need to be verified by ID.me, a third party, MLB-approved verification service.

Friday, September 17 vs. Detroit Tigers

• Roberto Clemente Award: The Rays will hold their Roberto Clemente Day celebration to honor the life and career of the Hall of Famer as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. Rays nominee Ryan Yarbrough and Minnesota Twins nominee Nelson Cruz will be honored in a pregame ceremony.

• Pack the Pantries Feeding Tampa Bay Food Drive: Fans can donate non-perishable items outside Gate 1 (in Lot 7) or at Gate 4. Each household that donates in person at Tropicana Field will receive a ticket voucher valid for two (2) Lower Reserved tickets to a 2022 Rays home game. Some restrictions apply.
• COVID-19 Vaccine and Health Screening: In partnership with Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, Metro Inclusive Health will be outside Gate 4 with its Mobile Health Unit to offer first dose Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to anyone 12 years of age or older. Anyone who receives the vaccine will receive a voucher good for two (2) tickets to a 2022 Rays home game (some restrictions apply), as well as a $25 gift card. HIV & HCV testing, health screenings and community health navigation will also be available at no cost.

Saturday, September 18 vs. Detroit Tigers

• First Pitch: 4:10 p.m.
• Gates Open: 2:40 p.m.
• Fashion Funds the Cure Event: This Saturday at 6 p.m., Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow will walk the runway at Fashion Funds the Cure Tampa to help raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research. This annual event by the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation will take place at the T. Pepin Hospitality Centre and will feature a “Champa Bay” theme in recognition of the on-field accomplishments of the area’s professional sports franchises. Tyler will accompany Dean Hutchinson, a 6-year-old from Venice, Fla., who was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2019. • Dog Day: Dog Day is sold out. However, fans can visit the GTE Financial Party Deck during the game to purchase charity raffle tickets and enter to win Rays autographed memorabilia and. All proceeds benefit SPCA Tampa Bay.
• Kiermaier’s Kids: With an annual donation to the Children’s Dream Fund, Kevin Kiermaier, and his wife, Marisa, are once again fulfilling the dreams of several children living with life-threatening illnesses, as part of their Kiermaier’s Kids program. This year, five children will have their dreams fulfilled. The Rays will recognize the children and their families on the video board during the game.

• Team Awards Presentation: Prior to the game, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times will present the Don Zimmer Most Valuable Player Award, Rookie of the Year Award and Paul C. Smith Champion Award, given to the player who best exemplifies the spirit of true professionalism on and off the field. The voting is conducted by members of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.

Saturday, September 25 vs. Miami Marlins

• Devil Rays Day: The Rays will wear their Nike white alternate throwback Devil Rays jerseys and navy blue New Era retro caps. This will be the last of five dates the Rays wear the throwback jerseys and caps.

Additional Homestand Notes

Shirts Off Our Backs Fundraiser: The annual Shirts Off Our Backs fundraiser, hosted by the Rays Baseball Foundation, will take place during the entire homestand. Fans can donate to the Rays Baseball Foundation in exchange for scratch-off cards with the chance to win game worn Devil Rays jerseys, tickets to a 2022 Rays home game or other prizes. Fans can purchase one scratch-off for $5, five for $20, 10 for $30 or 25 for $50.
