Texas Rangers activate C Isiah Kiner-Falefa from 10-day injured list and option him Frisco
Houston, Texas -- The Texas Rangers announced today that catcher Isiah Kiner-Falefa has been activated from the 10-day injured list and optioned to Double-A Frisco.
Kiner-Falefa was placed on the IL on June 7 with a sprained right middle finger sustained while running the bases. He was sent to Triple-A Nashville on injury rehab assignment on July 1 and was 3-for-17 with 2 RBI in 5 games with the Sounds. Kiner-Falefa was assigned to Frisco on injury rehab assignment on July 8 at the start of the Triple-A All-Star break and is hitting .286 (8-28) with 5 RBI in 8 games with the RoughRiders.
Kiner-Falefa opened 2019 with Texas and batted .231 with one homer and 13 RBI in 38 games/30 starts at catcher before his injury.
