Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Chevron Distribute Grants To Five Youth-Centric Organizations In West Texas

Arlington, Texas — For a third straight year, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Chevron are collaborating to distribute grants focused on funding organizations supporting youth in the Permian Basin and West Texas area of Texas.

In 2026, the Chevron / Texas Rangers Community Grant Program will distribute a total of $50,000 in grants to the following youth-focused organizations in the West Texas region: Balmorhea ISD, Firm Foundation Christian School, Midland Athletic Syndicate Inc, Permian Basin Public Telecommunications Inc, and Reeves County Recreation Center.

Since its launch in 2024, the initiative has distributed a total of $150,000 to support non-profit organizations, schools, or municipalities that provide meaningful support to youth ages 18 and under through programming in areas such as educational curriculum, afterschool programming, or youth sports.

The organizations will be honored during a check presentation ceremony before Monday night's game between the Rangers and San Francisco Giants at Globe Life Field (first pitch at 7:05 p.m. CT).

All grant proposals were reviewed by the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation’s board of directors and staff, along with representatives from Chevron.

2026 Chevron / Texas Rangers Community Grant Program Recipients

Balmorhea ISD – West Texas

Balmorhea ISD will use the funds to purchase a new livestock trailer for the district’s FFA student organization.

Firm Foundation Christian School – Fort Stockton

Firm Foundation Christian School will use the funds to purchase new floors, doors, and other essential building upgrades.

Midland Athletic Syndicate Inc – Midland

Midland Athletic Syndicate Inc will use the funds to support athletes from low-income households by constructing affordable batting cages.

Permian Basin Public Telecommunications Inc – Midland

Permian Basin Public Telecommunications Inc will use the funds to support Basin PBS Creative Arts Summer Enrichment Camp for local students. The camp will provide students with access to art supplies, books, and hands-on projects.

Reeves County Recreation Center – Pecos

Reeves County Recreation Center will use the funds to provide recreational youth activities at an affordable cost.
